I wish to thank all of you once again who are trying to be supportive of me through this painful time in my life.
I am trying very hard to maintain. I have not been eating right, sleep has been all but nonexistent, but I am doing better than expected with my struggle not to bury my sorrows so far in the bottle that I lose contact with reality.

As others have pointed out, I DO have two other kitties besides Tigger than still love me and need my affection as well.
In fact, this afternoon, I made a special effort to give them some quality time so they did not feel neglected.

I did spend the evening tonight with Lori for some escape time. We watched the rest of season 2 of Breaking Bad, which we are now totally addicted to, and I had some salmon and veggies and mashed potatoes.....about the most I have eaten in weeks. She has been there and completely understands my pain. I tried to be supportive of her when she lost her beautiful Maine Coon cat Oscar....also from cancer. And he was only some 8-1/2 years of age. If some of you do not remember, the server which is now the master database on Seti was named after Oscar in his memory.

Tigger II is still fighting her disease, although growing weaker. She has been hidden in one of her 'safe zones' under the kitchen table all day.

I shall try to coax her out from under the table if I can to have her sleep with me again tonight, but if she really feels that is where she is comfortable and wishes to stay there, I am not going to drag her out just to suit me.

You have been and still are doing your best to console me, and I realize that even if it not easing my pain too much right now, I shall, when things are said and done, be able to look back and know how much some of you really care about a man you have never met, who has expressed his love of cats for so many years here in these forums, and is immensely distraught over losing one of his beloved.
And in my eyes, that makes some of you simply Gods walking the earth.

And for that, I shall be eternally grateful to you.

Best wishes and kitty kisses to all of you.
Mark

Please Lord, just let me have some sleep tonight.
Please.

I need that. Sleep.

Gentle, soothing sleep.

I have not had any in so many days and nights.
Too troubled am I.
I going to be unable to continue if you cannot afford me that much.

One night of sleep.

I have not been very conversational lately, I think you can understand why.

Just a few current notes on Tigger II.

She is still up and about. She has actually had a couple of better days.
Today I coaxed her into eating almost half a can of kitty food! I bought some unsalted beef broth. Rather bland stuff. But I poured a little onto her standard issue kitty Friskies canned food, nuked it for a few seconds to warm it up. Carried her from the bedroom to the bowl in the kitchen, and petted her whilst she checked it out. Reluctantly, she sniffed and nibbled. Then proceeded to eat almost all of it. And when she decided she had eaten her fill, took off at a sprint down the hall and launched herself full tilt up onto the waterbed.....LOL.

She can still eat when she wishes to, she can still motor like a kitty cat. And she still races over and settles upon my chest when I go to bed for all the attention she can soak up.

I believe that God above and Tigger using every atom of her will to be with me are keeping her fighting her cancer. And since at 14-1/2yo, cats age approximately 4:1 vs humans, that would mean she has been fighting cancer for over a year, in our terms. Possibly much longer than that, as I only discovered the lumps the first of the year.

God bless my Tigger gurl.

Well...the Tigger saga continues.
She got up this morning and had a bit of breakfast with a splash of her meds.
Then came back to bed with me, crawled up on my chest, and refused to leave until she had at least an hour of proper attentions....LOL.
And, she actually did a little bit of hoarse PURRING for the first time in weeks.

You GO, gurl!

Mark, Thank you for the GOOD news on Tigger!
Amazing, she must have 9 x 9 lives.
Sounds like she will NOT cross the rainbow bridge without a fight.

Interesting Garfield cattoon.

I don't have a clue at this point just WHICH of her lives Tigger II is using right now, but it's working for her.

She made me smile again today.

Slept on top of me all night. Even when I rolled over on my side, she then climbed up on top of my hip. When I woke up, she was still there.

She got up and had a reasonable breakfast of Friskies, beef broth, and herbal meds, nuked to a savory warmth.
When she had her fill, she bounded off down the hall, took a quick left turn into the bathroom, jumped into the tub, and had a little round of the 'chase your tail' game.

And after THAT bit, lo and behold.
She has apparently decided that her current favorite place to hang out and nap is.....................
On the top shelf of the 6 foot tall kitty tower. She jumped onto the waterbed, and then jumped and clawed her way to the top of the tower. And then sat there, tail twitching and looking at me, as if she were quite proud of herself....LOL.

And this is a cat that was so weak that she could barely keep her feet underneath her and was near death just a short while ago. I, and the vet, were quite convinced that her time was drawing to an end.

Dunno how long this will last, but...
These special extra days with her will surely make it a 'little' easier to accept when she does have to go. I am cherishing them very very much. I do so love that kitty.

Tigger, you just made my day, my dear kitty.
You just made my day....again.

Tigger still is aboundement with engery.
I do not know from wherein these things come.

I can tell you this much, and I know some here will spit on my coming comment.

God is by Tigger's side. There is no power greater than His that keeps Tigger here. Not even my love.

For those of you who believe, May God bless you all.

And for those of you who do not....................

Well, I ask MY god to bless you as well.

Take it or le3ave it, it is on the table for you to accept, as wan the cross of hate that saved all out souls.

I believe in God. Your choice of Gods. Or, sadly, none at all..
There are far worse fates by the hand of man than to not know what your GOD is going to afford you once you get there.

And buddy, it is NOT going to he the 50 virgins some may seek.

Hey, Peter, buddy........'bout them virgins we was talkin' about....let me at 'em now.

Wait a minute now, St.Peter says.

'Ya don't crash this party like Dunnagan did years ago.

I says, I ain't no Dunnagan..........

\\

There are a few things I must consider carefully before posting here again.

First if all, I have been accused of taking my cat's impending death as what???
A freaking advantage. I frankhy can see how some might, but if you ever say that again to MY face, I shall hunt you down and kill you outright. I know those who can..........so sit down, boy. And noodle your nibbles whists you still have them in your pants. I can arrange otberwise.

I cherish every moment of kitty life, and as it turns out, I was right in not putting her down last week. She was near death, taking shallow breaths, stopped breathing for almost two minutes.

She was declared dead. Kitty was gone. -And I am going to get really angry if anybody here thinks otherwise.

Sick, and sad some of you are.
To actually think I would stage the death of a cat..............

You are sick people.

I have dedicated most of my life to two purrposes.
This project, and cats. I do not posture. There was a kitty donation run years ago that donated over a ton...2000 lbs. of kitty food to my shelter

I have donated cash where and when I am able to.\\\

I may even consider adopting a paired kitty to save their lives/.

And you have the gall to call bullshit????

Not until Tigger passes upon my chest.

You and I need to talk. Very hard and long.

Do not EVER question or impune my devotion to cats ever again.
This is something imbalanced in me...or perhaps just correctly balanced.

In either case, it is not YOUR call. as to whether I am right or not.

I have the last say.

And goddammit, I am going to save another kitty's life.

Screw you and the horse that some of you rode in on.

I am sorry...........
I have been caring for a dying cat
Or is she???????????///
Dammit, I am not so sure now.
WTF is this cat doing to me?
I have to take her to the litter box to pee, elst sbe will look at me most innocently and pee on her bed.

And it is taking a toll on me as well.
I have a life to live, work to do to pay the bills.
And at the rate that I g0 through electricity, that is no small matter.

Five or six hundred bucks a month.
I cannot do this much longer.

I really should have stopped this years ago.

I ranted, and I am sorry.

My life has been turned upside down lately, and I just don't know which way to twist my tail these daysI

I am torn literally between heaven and hell, and cannot determine which camp I am in.

Tigger is still alive and ...kinda well.
Just visited her on the top of the kitty tower.

Nuzzled her and then she kissed me with her nose, as if to say
it's all OK, Mark.
I love you and you love me, so it all works out,.

Tigger is still kicking. I do NOT know how. But she is.
This is quite a roller coaster ride she is taking me on.

And I hope that at least some of you understand my ups and downs now.

This is not gonna end well for me.
Kitty can go to the bridge. I am not allowed to chase her there. and I shall not hasten her journey onward.
She and i will both know when the time is right for her journey onward.
We shall then both cross hand in hand. Together.

I find it rather sick that some of you would assume otherwise. How could you know what I am intending for Tigger? She is going to live out her natural life, whatever that may be. Cancer was not scripted into that plan originally, but it has now to be accounted for.

She will be there waiting for me, I know that.
It does not make it any easier for me to release her from this life.

So far, she is still happy kitty, and loves me without any pain or suffering.
This has been questioned by Lori, given Tigger's struggles, but I assure you that I am monitoring her every life event, and if I ever detect any pain or suffering, I shall not waiver.
Tigger is stall a very happy kitty/.
She has a lump on the side of her neck about the size of an orange.
But, it really does not seem to cause her any pain.
I can pet her there, and I can find no discomfort from her.
It does not hurt her so far.

Lori wanted me to release her weeks ago. And has questioned my decision not to.
I think my decision not to take her life has been rewarded by some rather real moments why I did not so far.

And I shall not release this kitty to the rainbow bridge one instant before I know it is time to.

I am her caretaker. Cradle to grave.
And this is MY child. Cradle to grave I shall take her.
I owe her that. For 14 and a half years, she had given me her love.
And now;, I have to honor that love that she blessed me with for so many years./

Some of you posture, but cannot even begin to know what I am going through.
These are things I cannot begin to describe in words on a written page.

I am so distraught that words cannot convey the pain exactly.

I best go now, otherwise I might go over the edge.
