For readers of this thread who are a bit tired of melodrama, I offer unto you a small giggle today.

When I saw it, was sure it was going to be this version... was nominated for an Oscar and won a Genie for best animated short. (Probably just my Canadian biases showing... hah.) Didn't realize the song existed before the short.

Also please see this short by the same animator which won about fifty awards (no Oscar though) and is a must-see... especially for married couples. :^)

The big snit!

LSM and I were courting when we first saw
this vignette, it makes us hug when ever
we see it now.

edit:
That was delightful, thanks to Mr. Kevvy....

I AM slowly recovering from Tigger's loss, but the pain is slow to go.
I have been trying to distract myself with other thoughts.

Some of us just deal with these sort of things more poorly than others.

Thank all of you for your continued support.

BTW, Bandit and Purrball are both doing very very well.
They are my source of consolation now, and they are doing a good job at it.
I will consider a new kitty or two in the next half a year or so.
It is too soon to think about that just yet.

Meow.

Everybody has been going through some trauma. Why do you keep acting like you're in the final pages of your life? What makes you feel that way?

Because I fell that way, and it is true.
And I am not acting.

I suffer from depression, and my mother does, too. Now that she's older and I have more control over her medications I can ask the doctor to increase her anti-depressants or prescribe something else. I personally have never taken any antidepressants, but probably would benefit from some. Alcohol is not a good medication, as you well, know.

Alcohol is not a good medication, but it is what I have available in remedious doses and at hand.

My suffering is not your concern, really, now is it?

Pain concerns me only and directly. It does not encumber any other person on the plant unless they wish to become involved. That is their choice.

Well, it is, a little bit. Even though I don't like the way alcohol causes you to be abusive in your posting style, I think you're basically a nice person.

IF we believe not only in our universe, but in our space and'time"does this not only mean be believe in time itself?

And if we believe in time itself, does that not also mean we believe in creation and it's notion that time became aware and alive at a specific time and event?

Oh, meow.
First, Tigger II passes away.
Then my kitty banner goes away.
And now my Uncle Jerry passed away yesterday.
Some things are not going well in kittyland lately.

Meowsigh.

Now.........here's the kinda guy I am.....just so some of you know.
Some of you need to understand this.........

I got off of work tonight, after working 11 hours.
Decided to go grocery shopping.
Woodman's Market...open 24 hours, and the largest supermarket in the area.
The only time I can handle it is when there is nobody else there...LOL.

Anyway, I do my shopping, get home, pack it all away into the fridge.

Then, I look at the receipt.
$166.93...looks about right.
Then I notice, I got ten packages of cream cheese.
They only charged me for seven.
I went over the receipt several times.
6 Tombstone pizzas, check.
Shredded cheddar for my chili, check.
A dozen or so Mio drink flavors, check.
Oyster crackers, fresh ground beef, vidalia onions, a flat of Monster coffee, check, check, check.

As Jack Bauer would say to Chloe, "Dammit, Chloe, we've been undercharged."

Now, this is how I am.
I figure I owe them for 3 @ 1.49 each.
So tomorrow night, after working another 11 hour shift, I feel beholden to drive back over there in the middle of the night with the receipt and hand them another 4 dollars and 47 cents.
And I will do that, regardless of the fact that I really could use the sleep time, because I have to go back in and work another 5 hours or so on Friday.

7@1.49 just does not work for me when I got ten.

Meow.

I get it Mark,
You want people sneaking across the border to be shot,
but you're worried that the big grocery chains are losing profits
because of errors in check-out procedure.

We get it Mark!

Still hanging on to that hoary old chestnut, are we?
I recanted and explained that bit of misstatement long ago.

Stick it.

Meow.

Wonderful weather here....
Just took a walkabout in the yard to enjoy the budding trees and plants of various sorts.
Said hello to Squirrel, Tigger, and Tigger II.
But, I don't see any sign of my catnip plants coming back from last year.
May have to replant. I put them in rather late last year, and it was too dry, so they didn't get off to a very good start.
I want a catnip patch for any local strays to enjoy, and maybe pluck a few leaves for my indoor kitties.

Meow!
