I'm confused by the "Host Average" credit graph as shown by boincmgr. I would have expected to see a roughly constant average for any one system. Instead the average, with minor peaks and troughs, is steadily increasing. One of my systems, over the past 30 days, shows a starting average of 880 credits and an ending average of 1,690 credits. To my simple mind this equates to a delta average of 810 credits and over 30 days shows a delta average of 27 per day. i.e. the average credit is increasing by that amount per day. If this is actually the case I would expect to see the "Host Total" increasing exponentially. Instead it shows a steady increase from 16,000 to 64,000 credits over the same 30 day period. That would seem to indicate to me an average of 1,600 per day which about jives with the ending "Host Average". So, what does the "Host Average" actually depict? |
