The latest video is out from Simon's Cat ... and it is hilarious!

The Monster - Simon's Cat (A Halloween Special)

A bit more anthropomorphic than usual, but yes, absolutely hilarious!

Good News, Grace is eating that, finding a 3.5lb bag wasn't easy, it's the original formula. I decided to raid the Merrick card, next month I'll just add more I guess back into the card, so the furnace can get fixed.

YAY!!!

Today I noticed another small problem, Grace went to drink some water, after eating Her dry food, She didn't like what She saw or maybe smelled, She then drank out of a dish filled with water that I'd eaten out of the night before, one that I have to wash for dinner, there was no soap in the dish, as I put that on the sponge, Her water dish will eventually need replacement I think.

So, Vic.
How is dear Grace doing today?
Meow?

She's doing ok, though sometimes She'll meow at Me, since She can't smell the food, so She thinks nothing is there on the counter top, so I pick Her up and gently toss Her on to the kitchen counter top, then She finds the food and eats.

Woof.

This puzzles me.
I have had cats for many years. And I know they all are unique.
I don't understand a cat as young as Grace losing her way.

If she is, my blessings are with you.

I am still blessed with the love of two aging kitties.
Bandit and Purrball. They are still at their age doing well.
And I thank God for that, because He knows how much I need their love.

I just did My estimate for next months billing, if the gas heater for the mobilehome costs very little to fix, I think I might have enough for a new water bowl, Hers seems like it fouls up easy. The heater has to cost $120 or less total or I'm out of luck for November.

I buy cheap, ceramic bowls for my pets to use for food and water. You can get
them for a couple of bucks at Walmart (or other stores - maybe the dollar
stores). No need for anything fancy.

Plastic is a bad idea because it collects and holds onto bacteria unless it is
washed regularly.

My kitties get Corelle dishes. Because they are worth it.

Other dishes are fine, but the Corelle clean up really nice when needed.

This is a GOOD thing for the cats!
Rat-Packed Chicago Has 3-Month Waitlist For Feral Cats As Demand 'Explodes'

UPTOWN — Have a rat problem in Chicago? Get in line.

Paul Nickerson, manager of Treehouse Humane Society's Cats at Work program, said after returning to work full-time after a hip replacement, he and another part-time employee are quickly whittling down a six-month backlog of requests from residents and business owners desperate for a solution to the city's ongoing rat plague.

At one point, at least one restaurateur had offered to pay Nickerson "a couple hundred dollars extra" to place him at the front of the line, fearful rats inside the eatery wouldn't be gone by the time the business opened to the public.

edit to add...
"These cats certainly would have been put down before, so knowing you had a hand in saving 260 little lives that would have been put down before because they don't have a home ... it just feels really good, it's really rewarding," Nickerson said. "There was a time in my life when I lived in the corporate world and was making three times the money I'm making now, but I was never fulfilled — it always came back to working with animals in some way."

Do you know what, it's when we do things like that that I edge towards thinking we might be an intelligent species one day. Thank you WK and Dr Who Fan :)

I don't know if people remember me coming in here a few months back and mentioning my little Posy here. I've been meaning to pop in and tell you that she's been doing really well, despite her funny walk :) She recently took to sleeping in my draining board, which was a lovely excuse to put off doing the washing up till she was pottering around elsewhere.

Sadly, I forgot to dry off the worktop surrounds Tuesday morning and she slipped jumping back up and fell :( She died whilst I was on the phone to the vets :(

We were so lucky to have had five more months with her than I thought we were going to :) More would have been nicer though.

I bought Grace 22 cans of cat food, plus one 3.5 lb bag of Purina Natural in the
original flavor, it will last Her at least a month, why? I feed Grace more than
just dry food, I also feed Her canned food.

I would have paid a hundred dollars a second for more time with Tigger when she was dying of cancer.
She still haunts me.
Along with Tigger and Squirrel.

They are all resting peacefully in my back yard and I visit and talk to them frequently.

More attentions!!!
Stray cat finds love.

Mine are like this, but not so needy...come here, gurl.

All cats need their attentions.
Even those who have been denied it for all of their lives.

This cat is so obviously feral and yet, she craves love like any other kitty, and zooms right in for it.
