One of my cats. I made a meme! Couldn't resist with the look in his eyes.

I think I've seen that staring glare here, from time to time, even when She has food, She just can't tell, so I help Her some, sometimes a spoon in the bowl and putting Her near the food will do the trick, other times I gently toss Grace to Her bowl, after picking Her up, She soon starts to eat.

Still that's a neat Meme.

Awwww... thank you for all your kind wishes everyone :) She is moving her tail today!!! :) It's so cool!! :) AND is trying to reposition her back legs although her feet aren't up to it... yet. But it's remarkable progress. What's really sweet is the huge purr-fest she's indulging us with today too - when she's stroked behind where she suffered the fracture - as feeling returns. YAY! It might just be partly from a shortage of sleep, but it got me wondering - what she's been thinking all this time, poor love... because her purrfest reminded me of that thing we do... when we laugh and cry at the same time because we're suddenly and perhaps even unexpectedly, so very very happy.

@Suzie Ahh, you're very sweet :) The offer is appreciated, but there's no need. I'm fortunate in that we have a branch of an animal veterinary charity (the PDSA) not far from where I live, specifically for pets from low-income households. All that's requested in return is a donation towards the cost of care which you place anonymously in an envelope and post into a box. Support in other ways than monetary donation is also gratefully accepted (such as towels and bedding - particularly during outbreaks of parvo virus, which I know you know of only too well :( ; recycling our batteries in their recycling bin; animal food; or just your time where it's needed). One good feature is they present you with what the cost of the care was to them, itemised as a "receipt". At times, I've been able to give them more, but not every time, at the time. But thank you so much for your offer of help :)

Dogs don't like being hugged.

My stepmom has a Dachshund that loudly barks demanding that you place a hand on her to rub on her. And also gets in your lap and stands up on her hind legs and licks your face while getting a hugs and a rub down.

I don't think I'd spend $359.99 on the cat-hamster wheel as shown with stickers($349.99 without stickers), but then even if I had the money, I'm not sure Grace could be coaxed to use it.

Besides while I do enjoy a good laugh or two, this isn't one of them, so I'd pass on it.

I've tried to encourage our Stinky-Lou to eat less and move more, but alas to no avail. She is the kind of kitty who thinks she will find love at the bottom of the food bowl. Still, we love our plus-size kitty.

My companion for the last 17 years has finally found peace.

Spitty my cat has had various problems over the last 8 months, she has has several teeth out and many examinations.

Finally she was diagnosed just 6 weeks ago with an inoperable tumour in her left eye.

The vet suggested having her put to sleep then, but it just didn't feel right, so I have been looking after her and giving her pain meds and she was doing well until this week when the pain was obviously too much and she tried to eat but gave up.

I have just returned from the vet after making the most difficult decision of my life

RIP Spitty free from pain at last.

Oh, Bernie I am so sorry! :( Seventeen years is a lot of love. That gentle nudge they give us when they stop eating, telling us that they need to say goodbye, is such a sad moment, but you gave her the time to do that and I'm so glad you were able to.

RIP beautiful girl.
