Just found an old Galaxy GT 240 in the scrap pile and threw it in a Q6600 box with Windows 10 to get it off the internal video that doesn't have a Windows 10 driver. It is currently crunching CPU only with Lunatics 44, but is does the latest Lunitics support an old card like this?

Should work best probably with the Cuda 2.3 build. Let us know :D

It does support CUDA, but I don't know which version would be best.

Is that an old NVIDIA GT-240??? If so, you will need to Download and Install NO NEWER than Driver 337.88 for that card. On my old GTX-275, I went even older than that Driver and installed 266.58.

With Lunatics 0.43b, (v7 days), it ran fine with Driver 266.58. Then I was given a used GTX-750 TI SC!!! I had to Uninstall Driver 266.58, remove the GTX-275, then installed the GTX-750 TI SC, and finally Installed Driver 337.88.

Since then, I've Clean Installed Driver 353.30 for the 750, and all is well.

Bottom line, get Driver 266.58 for that old card. As to New Lunatics 0.44; I'll defer answering that to someone with more knowledge of Pre-Fermi GPUs.

Thanks Grant. :-)

Cuda 23 is what is needed for that old of a card. It's what I selected in Lunatics 0.43b when I was running the GTX-275. :-)

Well here is my old Windows Home Server, it just runs SETI on an old GT-240

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=6994034

It's only on 314.22 because trying to install newer drivers fails due to an "incompatible operating system".

Still it manages around 1,200 RAC on CUDA 3.2.

I had a GT-240 (GDDR-5 version) before I replaced it with a GTX-750. It was a very nice card. I got the best results (highest RAC) with CUDA 3.2.
