Is there any indication when Nvidia GPU WU's will be available through the normal download process (vs. optimized apps) for the general population?

And the relevant applications are listed on the Applications page.

Sorry, I should have added that I'm running Linux Mint, not Windows, thus my question.

All of the Linux apps look like they're for ATI cards. My one ATI machine is getting them.

So far, nothing has shown up for my 3 Nvidia machines.

Same here - I'm crunching Einstein units on my Card so it's not idle...
