Wondering if somebody could point me in the right direction. Seti appears to have completely disappeared from my boinc client. It last contacted the server on the 27th Jan. I know it was failing to get tasks since the upgrade. I have been a bit busy with other stuff and hadn't got around to fixing it - if I remember rightly I did try to download a file to upgrade the lunatics app but couldn't open it. I do know I never changed anything to the app info file - which I suspected I needed to do but didn't have the chance. I don't want to do anything drastic as I would prefer to keep the stats for 'this pc'. I have rebooted and tried restarting boinc etc. but it still does not appear in my projects list - neither does the graphs that show each project. mmm just noticed Rosetta has also disappeared. I am running win 7 64 bit boinc 7.4 and was using lunatics app v0.43a (I think). I have looked in boinc - projects and the seti folder is still there. is there an easy way to get things back to normal and keep the stars for this pc |

Seti appears to have completely disappeared from my boinc client. Try to 'Add' SETI@home project again I did try to download a file to upgrade the lunatics app but couldn't open it. Use 7-Zip http://www.7-zip.org/ I have looked in boinc - projects and the seti folder is still there. Maybe the account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml file is corrupted (which should be shown in the first 40 lines of Event Log (Ctrl+Shift+E)) Instead of 'Add' SETI@home project again you may try to copy this file from another of your computers All account_*.xml files of projects are in BOINC Data directory  - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :)  |

wasn't sure which xml file I should have been looking for. If seti is on another Pc it will be a really old version. In the end I just went ahead and re-added it, only showing the one active PC on my account page so it seems to have picked up the correct id - probably helps that there are the odd v7 client result trickling in as they are being validated. Back up and running so all is good. Thanks |
