Hey - I just looked on the status page and there were only 8 results left to validate!

Woohoo - only took about a week since the validator was last at zero I think :)

I wouldn't believe everything the Status Page tells you kinnison, I personally still have over 300 Pending WU's in my Account. When the Status Page was saying 0 last week I had over 500 Pending WU's yet ... You do the Math ... hehe

Is that supposed to show how many results have a full allotment of 3 results waiting, or how many WU are waiting to be validated total?

OK....Let's see..... 0(one user)=500. Hmmmm, 30K users... Thinking...... 1/500=30,000/X......500 x 30K =15000000 WU's remaining to be validated.X=15000000. Very interesting math if I do say so myself.

Been a long time since any math classes though. hehehe

The figures shown on the status pages are not correct. Some day’s back I had close to 100 WUs waiting for validation - the status page said 0 (zero). Today I still have around 30 WUs waiting and the status page said 56. I don't put to much trust to the information displayed at the status pages!

Happy crunching.

If a wu have enough "success"-results to be eligible for validation, the Transitioner sets a "need validate"-flag. After the Validator have checked this wu, it removes the "need validate"-flag.
The "Waiting for validation" counts all wu there it is a "need validate"-flag set, and is therefore a correct count of how many wu is currently ready to be tested for validation but haven't been tried validated yet. It shows if the Validator is keeping up or not.

It's not a count of how many "pending" results different users at any time have.

Ha! All that shows is that your system(s) is the slow-poke and everyone else was waiting on you to send in the 3rd result.

Ingleside,

I stole this and you can see how I mangled it in the discussion of the server status page when I do another update to the site (probably late this week or Monday next ...

During the outage i couldn't send my results so i had to wait until i could go online with my laptop to report these. I had some serious troubles with reporting on the weekend and after the outage because i have shared access and the bandwidth is very low. Uploads were possible but the RPC doesn't succeeded. Don't know wy but than i got thruw.

Actually I have noticed throughout the day today that the number of WUs waiting to be validated has been slowly increasing again. It started the day at just a couple of thousand, now as I speak it's almost up to 20,000! I wonder if there is some problem with the systems at borkeley again? Maybe just lots of new people coming in?
