TL your ships are so small, they'd almost fit inside the Galactica's landing bays.

Starfleet Dreadnought - Federation Class Ship

Baseline structure of USS Andromeda, BDC-97773

My Andromeda is bigger than an Enterprise Class Ship, and Smaller, (barely), than an Excelsior Class Ship. This may still be smaller than the Galactica; but she is more maneuverable and more versatile than Galactica.

TL

Question is can Andromeda jump into a planetary gravity well, launch fighters while dropping(a Combat Jump, aka: The Adama Maneuver), then jump back to orbit waiting to recover fighters while falling(before hitting the planetary surface) in a 50yr old museum ship(thunder clap included).

No, but can Galactica fire pure anti-matter encapsulated in a magnetic field at its enemies that once engulfed, (shields up or not), the anti-matter immediately drains the shields makes contact with the hull of the target and BOOOOM!!!!??? No more target... This does have the drawback of limiting the immediate top cruising speed of Andromeda from Warp 8 to Warp 6 after one shot of the Anti-matter Assault Gun... Subsequent uses drop Warp Factor by two for each shot made, down to Warp 2... At that point, the AAG cannot be fired again until Anti-matter sufficiently recharges in the core.

However; what ship can withstand a pure anti-matter blast hitting its hull??? I don't know of any. I'm pretty sure that such a blast eliminates the target from the battlefield.

Also, the Saucer Section of Andromeda separates, (keeping the upper Warp Nacelle with the Saucer Section), making Andromeda able to attack two targets at once. There is an AAG on the Saucer, and another on the Drive section.

40 Warp capable starfighters reside in each section of Andromeda; making her NOT just a heavily armed Dreadnought, but an effective carrier as well.

Plus, I'll take Federation starship phaser banks over Galactica's pulse canons. And, don't forget, Federation Starships also have photon torpedoes...

Size is NOT everything, Vic... Plus, I thought we established that Andromeda, (and company), are on friendly terms with your Galactica and Pegasus... Unless you wish to change those terms...???...

TL

Nah, just curious. Oh and Raptors can launch Drones that can emulate a Dradis signature of a Battlestar, makes a good decoy, Raptors can jump, launch nukes, land on planets, do scouting, search and rescue. Oh and Basestars can't take a pounding, 4 to 1 against Galactica is not survivable without help, Pegasus can go toe to toe with 4 Basestars if needed, larger Nova class Command Battlestars are more capable(Galactica was due to be replaced by one such vessel, Pegasus is a Mercury Class), provided networking is disabled.

Winning with enough light to see the street.
And it IS wet. And now, if I listen real hard, I can hear the patter on the roses outside my window.

Todays been a bad day, winds causing create a brown out in electrical power and of course aches and pains, took pills for the pains, Grace doesn't like the wind, West @ 39mph, gusts to 43mph, well at least there won't be any sonic booms today. So yeah still ugh...
