Thank God Lori and myself saw them live just last year.
This is a true tragedy........so young and so much life left.

Henley, Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon -- came together to form singer Linda Ronstadt's backup band in the early 1970s.

They were all experienced musicians who forged a laid-back, country-tinged sound that the Eagles would eventually make famous.

"We are all in a state of shock, disbelief and profound sorrow," Henley said in a statement Monday. "I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet.

"It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it," Henley added. "But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some."


Indeed, he did.
Rest in Peace, Glenn Lewis Frey............among those missed, but your legacy shall indeed live forever.

For anyone interested in America who has access to the Showtime Network they are airing the Eagles documentary made in 2013 this evening at 4:55 PT or 8:55 ET.

I've seen it and recommend it highly to those with interest in the history of the Rock Music scene in L.A. in the 70's. Great interviews with all those who contributed to The Eagles including an old acquaintance of mine, Rusty Young.

I am very thankful that Lori and I had the chance to see the 'History of the Eagles' show last June.

I will grieve for a long time, but at least we still have the body of work both solo and the band.........the Eagle still soars, and now his wings are unfettered (or unFeldered if you prefer).
