Can anyone tell me how designations are generated for candidate signals? I think I have some of it figured out, but maybe someone can help fill in the blanks. Using SHGb02+14a, it seems like this means: SH - SETI@Home Gb - Gaussian (barycentric)? 02 - Right ascension +14 - Declination a - First detection from this location? Thanks all, Dave |

http://seticlassic.ssl.berkeley.edu/candidates.html http://seticlassic.ssl.berkeley.edu/Candidates/index.html It is number 20 in the listing at the right. But when making a search for the candidate using the list to the left, right now being uncertain here and choosing one of the links to the left at random. But by means of its designation, it should be under 02hr, but in fact it is not. Here something is missing. |
