Got to get this back feeling better so Morpheus is calling (my Bed) (also known as the Greek god of Dreams) I've heard that as "Morpheus is descending." I know little about Greek mythology and Morpheus, so I have no idea which is better. ;-) Edit: A quick googling of "Morpheus" doesn't help, so I guess either is acceptable. (I wasn't trying to correct you - just wanted to participate.) ~Sue~ |

When I hear of Morpheus, I keep thinking of Forbidden Planet & Walter Pidgeon. It takes a bit of thought to remember that it was Dr Morbius in the film. Oh dear, I guess I'm a bit of an SF nut! Happy Crunching, Graham |

I've heard that as "Morpheus is descending." I know little about Greek mythology and Morpheus, The long story. Sertürner originally named the substance morphium after the Greek god of dreams, Morpheus as it has a tendency to cause sleep. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morphine The "short" story. Years ago I had a man like a 2nd father to me would say when I get done with work that he was going to slip into the arms of Morpheus, he was a farmer and he was just plain tired. That always stuck in my head so I called my bed Morpheus as a joke. Well anyway he got a kick out of it. LOL That's almost 65 years ago now. many beds since then but all was named Morpheus. |

http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2017/01/18/Oakland-Zoo-rescues-raccoons-accidentally-transported-from-Florida/2191484753797/ Five raccoons were placed in a 90-day quarantine at Oakland Zoo after accidentally being transported from Florida in a moving van. The raccoons were born inside the van after their mother snuck in while it was being burglarized and were found in poor condition following a four-day trip across the country. |

She's probably too young for the old and wild :-)) Hmmmmmm... I think that I will take Chris' quote to be an opportunity to remind all of the lusty old livers here that there is a "formula" of social appropriateness for dating: Half your age + 7 If you are, say, 60 years old - half your age is 30 + 7 = 37. You may date people age 37 years and older and it will be considered socially acceptable. If you are, say, 70 years old - half your age is 35 + 7 = 42. You may date people age 42 and older and it will be considered socially acceptable. That lovely young lady, and presumably her sister, do not appear to fall within anyone's formula here!!! |
