Our budgerigar just died 2 hours ago.
He had problems with his right leg the last few days and was more handsome than usual.
He slept in our hands a few hours a day so i saw this coming.
It is just a bird but wow verxy hard anyways.
My wife is still crying.

I'm so sorry.

I wouldn't think squirrels would eat them but I guess nuts aren't the only things they eat.( Interesting}

Squirrels eat corn, and tortilla chips are made from corn.

I had to start feeding the gray squirrels here corn. It's not the best food for them, but it's cheap, and it makes them lay off the black sunflower seeds I give the birds. They must have stashed quite a bit. There's snow on the ground and it's very cold now, and I haven't seen a squirrel in a week. But it's warming up in a couple of days and I'm sure they'll be back.

If I put out corn or apples the deer would be here in a flash, heck they even hit the bird feeders. LOL

Deer come here every night without fail, They eat only the high dollar stuff which this one guy puts out for the birds just outside my window.

We have a lot of different animals come here to feed . Raccoons and Skunks are seen here the most anytime.

Recently they've posted silly little inspirational tidbits around the school where I work. I came across one that said "Be a Froot Loop in a world of Cheerios."

I worry about the what the critters in DC are up to, like trying to cut peoples financial throats, sign online petitions, listen to train horns from about 4 miles away, watch tv, take a nap, etc, etc, etc...

That is actually pretty good, when you think about it................
I think I am more like Cap'n Crunch.
Or, as was said by Denzel Washington in a very good movie, a knight in shining armor in a world where such knights do not exist anymore.
Or DO they, still?
I try to be that knight when I can.
I rescue innocent animals, I hold the door for little old ladies who do not expect that anymore.
I donate what I can to causes few others care about anymore.
Yeah, some knights DO still exist when and where they are able to.

Meow.
