Isn't the den the garage containing all the black widow spiders?

Poor guy just wants to wrap himself up in a nice warm duvet for a bit but instead has to construct a flame thrower and use the "medicine" as fuel :(

Fear not. Eric has an actual room in the house that serves as his man-cave.

Sorry that I have to ask again, but I do. Termites have been eating away at my
home and I now have a few huge holes in my floors. Thank you for whatever help
you can give. I understand if you can't afford to help. God bless you and help
you with whatever you need.

Please Help Sue Repair Termite Damage

Thank you.

A HUGE thank you to those of you who have donated. I'm on my way to a termite-
free, hole-free home!

The good news is that Terminix's estimate was much lower than I expected.
They'll do a whole-home treatment for only $1,250. I expected it to be closer
to $2,000, since that's what Orkin told me a few years ago. Also, Terminix
will let me make payments, which is a blessing.

Now more of the donated money can be used to fix holes in the floor and damage
to the walls, window sills and frames. (I didn't post pix of the wall or
window damage.)

Thank you again!

Do you all feed the birds? When I was a kid, I did it, but all we had were Cardinals, sparrows, and a few bluejays. I'm thinking about trying to set up a hummingbird feeder. We just watched a show about hummingbirds and they are pretty fascinating.

Please remember to NOT use the red dye for the hummingbird feeder. It's been proven to be harmful to the kidneys of the hummingbirds. They still manage to find the feeder without the dye.

I was wondering about the food. Just mix simple sugar and water? The color of the feeder can be the attraction.

Sugar and water, boiled for a simple outdoor feeder. Clean frequently. However if they don't have access to anything else you need to put protein into the food as in the wild they do eat bugs.

I don't think the color makes much difference Gordon, most of the feeders have fake flowers on them for color. When I did it all I got was a bunch of ants. LOL

Gordon, do you have bears where you live? My mother-in-law has given up trying to feed hummingbirds because the bears in her area rip down the feeders and lick up all the sugar syrup.

Yes, a black bear was spotted about half an hour from here, in a forest, but I don't expect to see one walking down the street, ;~)
