Paramedic Puts on Ebola Biohazard Suit to Protect Himself from Skunk

Getting sprayed by a skunk stinks, which is why this man decided to put on an Ebola biohazard suit to protect himself.

For the last two years we've had a pair of loggerhead shrikes nesting in some nearby trees. Now we have some juvenile shrikes who enjoy hanging out on our back fence. Boy are they loud! I can't figure out if they are trying to establish territory, or if they are just making noise for the sheer joy of it.

A SAD day for Raccoons today. :-(

I was on my way to my Allergist's office in San Ramon for an 11 AM appointment. On my way there, at the top of El Capitan, just before the intersection of Crow Canyon, SOMEONE's vehicle struck and killed THREE raccoons. The raccoons must have been a family unit; as I've NEVER seen three dead raccoons in one spot like that before. I assume that to have hit them all at once; the vehicle must have been a large SUV or pickup truck. They were all in a straight line, one after the other, in the middle of El Capitan. :-(

God bless these little souls, may they rest in peace.

A family unit is a good guess. Poor little things.
