I threw out 5 unshelled walnuts into the backyard this morning, and no squirrels have come up to take one. I'm surprised.

Our back yard blue jays prefer peanuts in the shell over shelled. They will struggle to get the peanuts in the shell out of a wire ring holder we use, and not go for the shelled peanuts in the nearby tray until the ring is empty. (Not my photo, but that is the kind of ring holder we have.)

Now if only I can fix two video cards, the brackets that might do the trick are out of reach for the moment, since the seller messed up I'm told, the seller is getting an email about the mismatched email addresses, until the seller uses only one email addy on both ebay and paypal, the seller won't be selling anything to anybody, the conflicting email error code is 70245. Yeah I talked to ebay. My current card is warmer than it should be...

And I'm tired, but warm.

Getting supplies takes time and money Chris S, I have lots of time, I just lack enough money to get stuff done quickly, so I just have to be persistent and patient.

My Brother, Nephew and I shared a pair of dogs between us and yet Me tell you, they loved French Fries, sad to say one dog out lived My Brother by 2 months and the other went a few years later. These days I'm a cat person.

much salt (if they're salted, which most are).

Oh, that brings up memories. Ferry's Fish Bar in Dunoon, Scotland, 1980-81.
1 large piece of fresh-caught, batter-fried fish, plus chips (French fries) in a wax paper boat, wrapped in newspaper - 80 pence (about $1 at the time). Coarse-ground salt and malt vinegar in bottles on the shelf along the wall.

And a pub down the block that let you bring food in, and played nothing but 1930s & 1940s Big-Band Jazz on the juke box. Spent a lot of my off-time (and money) there during refit/maintenance periods between FBM patrols. And I seem to remember a non-descript brown cat that spent a lot of time curled up by the fireplace.....

@ Grant. My best dog Beefa was 11years old when she suddenly became paralised in the back legs. My best friend, a veterinarian, told me she was too old and arthritic to be treated and I should have her put down. Being a Buddhist with no desire whatsoever to kill any sentient being I was in a huge moral dilemma. But in the end I could not let her suffer any more and took her to the vet to be killed. I couldn't stay and watch. I cried all the way home.I am a big tough man and never cry.

Also you can tell there is a world recession on. Times were when at 6pm when they opened, until closing time, there were always hot cabinets full of cod, skate, rock, haddock, fish cakes, battered sausages, meat pies etc all pre cooked. Now they will only cook to order as each request comes in. That means at least a 20 minute wait. Not only that have you seen the prices??? The days of popping down the road for a cheap family evening meal have long gone. And the fish is only cod and seems to be 60% batter.

Why dont you phone your order through Chris ? Saves waiting 20 minutes and works here in rural Suffolk prity well so 4t what we do here would work in the big city ;-) , surprised you lot hadn't 4t of it hehe
