Dotsch seems to have disappeared around 2011. Now that SAH is moving to v8 apps, the writing is on the wall that anyone who wants to run a CPU other than Intel/AMD/ARM really has no hope. SETI and SIMAP were the only two projects that had any diversification, and SIMAP is out of the picture. I hadn't paid attention to the alternative platform stuff for a while, but now that I am dusting off some PPC/POWER, SPARC, and DEC Alpha boxes (it's winter, so I can use the extra heating), I am disappointed that there aren't any binaries to crunch BOINC projects with. Can anyone help? If I had the time or system-specific expertise, I would certainly try to compile my own apps and share them, but I simply can't do this. |

You're better off asking this in Number Crunching, because that's where the volunteer developers reside. Or you can click red-x on your post and ask a moderator to move the thread to over there. |

Thanks for monitoring the Q&A sections, Jord! [me bad] So, now the thread is in NC hopefully somebody can be of assistance. I haven't the faintest idea if any of our devs deal in exotic hardware.
