Shootings with multiple casualties is a very common occurrence these days and therefore not as newsworthy as cruelty to families and their children. A crime against humanity and should be terminated with a trial similar to Nuremberg.

"Sources said the owner appears to be a firearms collector as opposed to someone about to use the guns in crimes."
There are at least two sides to every story, but the fact of being a convicted felon is a large problem depending on what the conviction was for.
So now there are good felons and bad felons? Felons are felons. That is why they have misdemeanors for things like purse snatching or vandalism. Felonies are for things like bank robbery, rape and murder.

But I have a question to ask. How does someone who is a felon and has to check the box have you ever been convicted get a job where he can earn enough extra cash to buy 553 guns? Most felons are lucky to be able to get a job.

I suspect a little more investigation will turn up something a bit criminal.

Some believe, although I don't, that abortions are a Crime Against Humanity.
Forced pregnancy and forced abortion are the crime against humanity. Written law!

Separating children from mothers is likewise the crime against humanity. Written law.
Doing so for apartheid is the crime against humanity, as is apartheid. Written law.

Some people believe the earth is flat.

But... He is freed on bond!!!

Clyde(and others), please consider this. The venue of the charges is one of the most oppressive gun law States in America. The Judiciary in California is notoriously Liberal/Anti Gun. For bond to have been granted by any Judge in those circumstances must have meant the evidence was flimsy(?), the risk of flight was negligible and that risk to the community was not present .

Time will tell.

Nope. Gun charges simply don't merit much punishment in California. They also are talking about a house, and that could be the bond, so it may not be a cash bond of 10% to a bail bondsman.

I do know someone who was convicted in California of gun charges. He didn't serve much time, out in less than two years. That was for having a machine gun without a tax stamp.

I wouldn't be too quick to assume he is not a threat to others or flight.
But that is apparently the conclusion of the presiding Judge. Who are we to question the sage knowledge and experience of a seated Judge? [/sarcasm font]

You mean probation department. Judges get about 15 seconds to look at a case at this stage.

Sometimes the interference is not as direct, but it happens anyways.

For example, Toronto is experiencing an epidemic of gang shootings. Almost all of them are being committed with cheap semi-automatic pistols smuggled in from the U.S. because they are so easy to buy there with no checks ie the "gun show loophole" and from there find their way to the criminal market and over the border. The U.S.-Canadian border is just over twice as long as the U.S.-Mexican border so any talk of border walls or closing that gap is ridiculous.
...
As I've always stated, I'm completely in favour of licensed, trained and *sane* individuals owning slower-fire registered firearms for self-defense, but this is nothing like what is being imposed on us.

I wrote the above 23 days ago. A couple of days ago the Toronto police in co-ordination with other area police forces executed a dawn raid on the "Five Point Generalz" street gang and have arrested about 75 people so far. And one of those people?

... at a news conference on Friday it was revealed that the biggest bust actually occurred about a month ago, when a suspect was pulled over while en route from Cornwall to Toronto.

Police allege that the suspect had stashed 60 brand new handguns in the trunk of his vehicle after picking them up from individuals who had purchased them in Florida.

They say that the seizure is the single largest involving illegal firearms in Toronto Police Services history.

The verbal harassment doesn't bother me, I consider the source in the same manner I consider the posterior orifice on any bovine.

But when that verbal harassment becomes violent...........I will defend myself and my family to the legal limits afforded me by the Constitution of the United States.

The mentally defective comments by those like Maxine Waters will eventually spark such a confrontation and of course the Radical Liberal Scum that incites it will claim innocence.

The Party of Love and Diversity..................rather hate speech and censorship of anything not of their liking.

So you wouldn't object to those that lean left arming themselves for protection against he who shouts “I’d like to punch him in the face,”
