Another very old fellow with a very questionable reputation. :-(

It has got to be galling to the NRA the only reason they can even have him is the work of the ACLU to clear him. Otherwise he would be on the prohibited to own arms list.

The NRA believe that calling a place safe because it has firearms in it makes it so.
Rather I believe the NRA and majority of 2nd Amendment Rights supporters (LOTS more than NRA membership), believe that an American Citizen has the right to choose whether to be victimized by an armed assailant or defend themselves with appropriate force no matter where they are.

To call a place a 'gun free zone' conveys a false and dangerous sense of safety. Unless that 'place' has provided sufficient security to prevent an occurrence like Bataclan they should have no say in what a legally armed citizen uses to protect themselves and their family/loved ones.

In America that is.

One of these days the USA will have mental health. Of course they will have to have Obama care first so that physical aliments are covered or there will never be coverage for mental aliments.
The NRA and the GOP don't want there to be coverage. They are afraid their paranoia about the bad guy always in wait to get them or steal from them would make them qualify for listing.
However one day this will come to pass. A decade after it does suicide by gun including by police proxy will drop at least 100 fold. America then will at last be safe.

We do have a real problem.
On that we also agree. But the problem is a culture that glorifies the use of lethal force as an everyday answer to every problem.

"A man 'dis's you, ya shoot 'em". Every entertainment venue embraces and preaches violence and steeps every young, impressionable mind in a sewer of killing numbing them to the actual reality of violent death.

That's not entertainment and it should be a crime.

Wiggie calls gun owners......

Nothing but school kid killers.
.........due to his blind hatred of an inanimate object. His wrath should be directed at the producers of the filth that causes such behavior.

The NRA, the firearms manufacturers and the blind idiots that are infected with their own hysteria that badly that they far too scared to go outside with packing a firearm of some sort and the lead poisoning that they get from fondling their ammo overly much and are totally brainwashed by their ancient and out of date 2nd amendment BS.

There you go, the perfect description of kid killers, and a lot of you are to blame for this insanity.

Next we'll have some brain dead crazy idiot over there that will actually push for a hunting season on school kids.

I do agree that some of the problems with violence in our culture. Is a result of extremely violent 'Role Playing' games and extremely movies.
It's more than games and movies, it's a 24/7/365 multi sensory assault, music, graphic novels, TV programming, internet offerings and the examples set by peers who have succumbed to the assault, all help keep the 'tea' of violent behavior brewing.

Web 'bullying' is another symptom of this cultural immersion in violence as it gives the bully a feeling of invulnerability they wouldn't feel if face to face with their victims.

MS13 has stepped into the picture leveraging this penchant for violence into a recruiting tool for young S.A. and C.A. immigrants legal and illegal.

Anyone who feels an AR is overkill for defense should be aware these gangs are obtaining and USING ARs in the commission of murders, and the assassination of local and Federal police agents. These were not obtained legally, and outlawing their possession will do nothing to change that. Any weapon in the hands of a criminal is already illegal, so enforce the laws instead of punishing all legal owners and violating their Rights.

MS13
snicker. Better worry about Gulf Cartel, Los Zetas, La Familia Michoacana, Guadalajara Cartel, Sinaloa Cartel, Colima Cartel, Sonora Cartel, Artistas Asesinos, Gente Nueva, Los Ántrax, Milenio Cartel, La Resistencia[, Jalisco New Generation Cartel, Beltrán-Leyva Cartel, Los Negros, South Pacific Cartel, Cártel del Centro, Cártel Independiente de Acapulco, La Barredora, El Comando Del Diablo, La Mano Con Ojos, Sinaloa Cartel Plaza Bosses, La Nueva Administración, La Oficina , Cártel de la Sierra, Cártel de La Calle, Los Chachos, Tijuana Cartel, Oaxaca Cartel, Juárez Cartel, La Línea, Barrio Azteca, Bloods, Crips, ... . All because of your war on drugs. Legalize and it all goes away. You don't need your AR-15 anymore. Isn't that a better life? Or have you had so much of the Hollywood gun culture you have to invent ways to promote it by banning the people from things which will always exist and be traded?

Gary I'm sure the widows and children of the officers wounded and slain by MS13 and their ilk are comforted by your snicker and offhand dismissal.............typical.

I'm sure that the parents who have lost kids to angry white men with assault weapons will take solace in your words of wisdom, not.

Typical uninformed response by someone who consumes fake faux news. You should do some research on which gangs are deadly.

Mara Salvatrucha, started in Los Angeles in 1980, I have been in LA since before then so I am well acquainted with their handy work from news reports. You did know they are a USA domestic formed gang didn't you? They are not nearly as bad ass as Rumpers want to pretend. Numerous other gangs have far more kills than they do. You should be far more afraid of the Mexican Mafia aka EMME or even the Aryan Brotherhood.

Now I'll grant if you are La Cosa Nostra and Mara Salvatrucha comes to town to sell drugs, you are going to get shot dead. I suppose that is making news on the East Coast.

You could keep your head buried under the sand, it might stop the bullets. Or you could look around and see the problem is the war on drugs.

That part would be a bit of a hit on the rust belt states, but nationally the tax money on the legal sales would more than overcome it. I'm also sure those CNC machines making guns can be programed to make other needed metal parts and the workers can assemble them and as a bonus the planet gets jobs making constructive things and not destructive things. However one has to realize a conservative mind only understands destruction, because it is easy. Cooperating to build something is at the edge of its comprehension and doing so under control of another is what it calls communism or socialism.
