Here's a new idea for this forum - I want to get rid of some of my credits!

For my own reasons I want to stop running Pirates. I have only ~135 credits, compared to the many thousands I have accumulated in Seti, Predictor, LHC, and Climate. I don't like this tiny bit hanging on at the end of my total Boinc stats.

In my Pirates account I've changed my email address and user name to something different from the ones I use for the other projects. I've kept Pirates running to do more work under this new configuration with the plan that work done under a different email and username will change all Pirates work to a different cross-project ID number and thus won't show up in my total Boinc stats on stats pages. I have completed work like this but Pirates still shows up under my total Boinc stats:

http://boincstats.com/stats/boinc_user_graph.php?pr=bo&id=02e25a573a0035f73ca5f66c4a698bdc

Am I on the right track to getting rid of my Pirates credit? Or is there no way to do this?

I did it the same way after Xmas, because to get work from there was annoying me.
I did it : I changed e-mail-address at each project, except the pirates-one, on the pirates-prefs I changed country to "none".
After a week (it depends how often pirates-results are updated) it seperates in the BOINCstats in two "users"; one without the pirates-work in BOINC-overall, and the second with PIR. So I can choose which signature I want:

Damn that's inventive. I think that's an easter egg in BOINCstats that even I didn't know about...

First I thought that my orphaned account script would erase your 4-in-1 account (the one with Pirates), but it's kept alive by your pirates account...

@Willy:
If it is possible; you can delete my pirates output; I logged out there and I even won't work or have to do from/with them!!!
If it is necessairy I will erase the reply bellow...

To all others: a little advise; it isn't worth to work for the pirates, you get only problems, not only the client !!!

As long as your Pirates account exists iw will be exported in the XML files and imported into BOINCstats. Nothing to do about that.

What I will do is find a way to split up an account. There should be 2 littleBouncers then, one bouncing with SAH/CPDN/LHC and one bouncing with PIR.

Taking your advice, I changed the country setting too. Hopefully in a week or so I can cut my Pirates credits free to a completely different ID #!

It's been 2 weeks since I changed the nickname, email address, and country of my Pirates account and Boincstats still keeps those pesky 135 credits attatched to my name :\
