A truckie in Port Augusta, South Australia has copped a temporary suspension after absolutely batshit crazy footage shows the massive vehicle trying to overtake another truck and almost crashing head-first into an oncoming car. Caught on dash-cam And he only had to wait a few seconds longer for the overtaking lane. :-( Cheers. |

That video has pucker power. Even more so when you consider the car is a late 60's MkII Cortina weighing in under 900kgs with no safety features worth mentioning (other than the seat belts that'll try and keep you inside your coffin) with up to 65 tonnes of truck coming at you. :-O Cheers. |

NEWS. A man in his 20s did not want to stay for the police. Instead, a hunt began in the municipality of Kungälv and ended in Surte. The man is now being charged with suspicion of driving around 100 km/h in a 30 km/h street. In interrogation, the man has told that he gave two friends a ride on the current night in May this year. The police caught sight of the car when it turned to Lundbyleden in the direction north because it drove at around 160 km/h according to the patrol. However, when the police signaled that the driver had to stay, he chose to do the opposite and drove at an even higher speed on the E6 towards Kungälv. During the voyage, the driver should have drove at 200 km/h and also made dangerous overtakes and also drove in the bus lane. The driver turn at the Jordfallsbron and later went into a residential area in Ale Municipality where he should have drove at 100 km/h in an area where the maximum speed is 30 km/h. In the end, the driver stayed in Surte after punctured a tire. In interrogation, the driver acknowledges the crime and that he drove too fast. He calls his run for "deadly and idiotic". He also tells him that he panicked when the police car made a stop sign and that he was afraid to get rid of the driver's license. |

In China, electric car manufacturing hits new record. At the CES Fair in Shanghai, Nevs showed its two new electric cars built in China on the old Saab chassis, and a self-driving concept car for the future. The interior is big as an SUV and completely stripped, almost like an egg. Here are four chairs and windows around the entire vehicle that will serve as monitors. And perhaps the most surprising for a car designed in Sweden; The concept car has no safety belts. |

I'm glad that I wasn't driving this bus. I'm surprised the car driver was the only fatality. Very lucky. Grant Darwin NT |

One driver's Drill Sergent is going to be "less than pleased". [edit] Just how many spuds will he have to bash, and how many lumps of coal will he be required to whitewash? Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Memo to any city at risk of invasion - a nice slippery set of tram-tracks down your main street may be helpful. |

Quick way to upset truckers Thats their choice. What a lot of smaller vehicle drivers may not realise is that some of us will not turn our wheels to avoid them if it will endanger other road users. Kevin |
