Since the Xmas weekend here in the highlands down under have only hit the mid 20'S once since.

Today started at 14C (felt like 12C) and went up to 15C (felt like 13C) plus being wet (again).

Cheers.

Rain here pretty much all day so far but the big one hits tonight. I hope it holds up to what they say.

Rain here pretty much all day so far but the big one hits tonight. I hope it holds up to what they say.

We had a heatwave here yesterday Grant, 22C (felt like 21C), but other than that the temp has ranged between 13-18C and no sign of the sun.

Rain here again today and 17C of the expected 20C (feels like 16C) has been reached as I clean the inside of my old girl before changing it into a camper configuration for a few days away.

Cheers.

Didn't like my drive home, but drove thru a good old cloud burst. Good help to replenish our groundwater, not good on the crap side, that might get into our Pacific Ocean via Storm Drain/Runoffs.

Don't municipal drainage systems have catch pits and filters for all that? We do in the UK.

They do, and this is what happens

If the winds keep picking up, we just might.

Calm and sunny where I am but all my friends along the central coast are without power or phones, including cell phones.

I've seen gusts here up to 75mph, this place hasn't budged, though considering how the place next to Me was put in and without any permit or inspection by the County of San Bernardino by the last owner, My foundation is beefy, next door looks like its supported by jack stands, as revealed by the wind, the skirt next door was ripped by the wind, My homes skirt has never ripped and the wind has had more than enough opportunities to do that in the past, Mine was just secured better.

It's not flood protection that is needed, it is flood prevention.
