Researcher has found that Canada geese spend winter in Florida to stay near the Canadian population.

To keep things moving, it's judgement time...

Dis-honorable mention to those who identified these as ducks - they're Canada Geese.

Honorable mention to Carlos for the idea of Florida — but these are in California (Oakland, to be exact...)

Third to Monday for: "Yawn"

Second to Chris S, for his "Stop eating Daisys" I leave out the rest of his caption as non-"Family-friendly".

First to The Admiral for "Poor Dave... His goose was cooked yesterday."

My caption at this time of year would'a been: "We Survived Christmas!"

PM going out, very soon after this is posted...

When I lived in up-state NY I lived on the shore of Lake Ontario and the geese would be flying at about 50 feet above the water. Well my back yard was 27 feet above the water so when they came in you could almost touch them. this would go on for 3 or 4 weeks so you knew it was getting cold up north.

I have a few living out here in CA in the river in the summer time and you can hear them take off about 6 AM every morning. (I guess for breakfast) :))

My first post was not identifying them as ducks. It was the one in front telling the one in back to duck, which he did.
