New build and so I notice these things. Looks like my result is the same and the other two. I assume you're referring to WU 1962532582. That's one of those bad timing things that have been mentioned occasionally. The _1 task timed out, the _2 task was sent to you, then 3 hours later the _1 task gets reported and validated, thus leaving your _2 task an orphan of sorts. By the time your host reported, it was too late to get credit. Those types of orphan tasks used to just hang around unvalidated until somebody manually cleaned them up. Lately, though, they seem to just get marked Invalid immediately so that they don't clutter up the database. All in all, just bad luck (and poor design) when you end up on the losing end of one of these, I guess. My personal feeling is that if a task times out, it should be that host that gets blocked from getting credit, and not leave the next host holding the bag. |
