I've been with Seti for a LONG time... First time user back in the states in late 90's to early 2000's using a Windows based machine.

I'm now in Australia using an iMac and set myself back up with Seti. I've had this particular account since 2011 but because Australia uses bandwidth and has stupid internet I stopped. Now that I'm on a higher allowance I wanna start using seti again.

NOW for my question...
Back in the day I used to be able to watch seti at work, watching the bars and/or spikes and I could also set that as my screensaver. This new version I'm running doesn't seem to do that.

Is this possible to do again?

There's a whole thread about this in the Mac section here but I"ll give the short answer.

Only the v7.00 CPU application still has the graphics part.

But it's an older app and several newer one were release recently, those are faster than the older one but lack a graphic component.

You may on occasion get the older one but eventually the server will end up sending the newer ones over time.

You can still set Seti for you screensaver but it will be a more generic looking just showing a progress bar.

There has been several discussions about people missing the graphic portion and the developers have commented they will look into, hopefully in future releases.

Ok, yeah miss watching the progress... I do notice my screen saver flickers between different scenes.
