How can I change speed of SETI using GPU on my Graphics card? My GPU is running a bit hot, and I don't want it to cause a failure. I have checked the SETI project settings screens online at the SETI site, and there isn't a way to set the load given to GPU's. I ask this to the SETI project builders: Please add options to control how much of the GPU is used by SETI, and I ask you to please notify other projects using BOINC of an update for the problems noted in my original post. I additionally ask that the options I am asking for will be added to the BOINC interfaces to help users with this very bad problem. Thanks in Advance to SETI, and others adding an update to both the SETI projects, but also to BOINC the help prevent damage caused by overloading of GPU's by SETI, and other projects.

...and there isn't a way to set the load given to GPU's.

That's because there isn't any way to do so on the present GPUs available. They can only use all internal streaming processors at the same time, or not use them at all.

There is software coming that should be able to steer parts of these processors to do work and others to stay idle, but that's still being tested out in the programming world. It's also not sure it will work on present hardware (aka all GPUs till thus far) or that it needs new hardware that's compliant with this steering.
