Just put up the tree. I bought LED lights for the tree this year. 12 sets of 100 for a total of 1200 lights. All that, and they're brighter than the old incandescents, plus use way less electricity. 96 watts vs. 480 watts for the same number of lights! The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Nice tree Gordon, one day I'll have enough room for such a tree, I have only 165.73sqft(13'1"Lx12'8"W) in My living room, so I have to rearrange part of My living room to make that happen, ideally I'd want the tree in front of the big window under the car port, but I'd have get a much smaller sofa for that. You and your tree are welcome Gordon. I'd have to weigh the tree down with what is like 3 sandbags in weight, why? Grace is a 16lb cat, I'm not sure what She'd do, but I know She'd try something and I wouldn't want the tree to be knocked over, She's smart enough to open cabinet doors in My kitchen... p.s. If anyone is thinking about getting LED lights for the tree, make sure you get rectified. The rectified lights are more expensive, but they won't flicker like non-rectified. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I always put my Christmas tree up after Saint-Nicolas (6th December). That's a habit here in Belgium. We're definitely breaking tradition here putting ours up so early, but it takes so much time to do it, we want to enjoy it as long as possible. I used to know someone whose father just threw a sheet over the tree after Christmas, and unveiled it the next December! The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

When I was young we had a Great Dane. One year we set up the Christmas tree, and the dog was delighted we finally brought the bathroom indoors....... We had to remove all the decorations, and put the tree in the bath tub. Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

When I was younger and lived in Dominguez CA(annexed to Carson CA w/a North Long Beach zip code) We had an aluminum XMAS tree in the living room in our half of the duplex house, a lot has changed there, the area has 2 schools(K-12) and the park now has a pool, of course the public library where I'd worked at is long gone, for an isolated community that's a loss.
