Not presently listening to, but excellent in the late evening (a friend once said she found Ligeti's piece anxiogenic, just in case this also applies to you...) I have The Eagles' Peaceful Easy Feeling running through my head, and I wish it would stop. I hate it when a song I don't even like gets stuck in my head like that. I feel like the Dude from the Big Lebowski. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Rachmaninov Piano concert number 2 from London Prom on RAI radio3 FM. They say he wrote it to escape a fit of depression because his Symphony number 1 had been hooted. His doctor encouraged him to fight back, and the concert had a great success. Tullio |

Cajkowskij Symphony number 4 played by the Verbier Festival Orchestra. The first part included the number 1 violin concert played by Janine Jansen on a Stradivari of 1707 vintage. All this on Euroradio FM via RAI Radio3. Tullio |

Just want to remind all of you about one of my favorite radio stations. Some of you in the past have said that you enjoyed it as well. They are a non-profit radio station that fosters the non-profit community as a whole and charitable organizations. The station was almost about to go off the air, but through an amazing campaign, they just raised $332,000 in 30 days to remain operating! Hear is some of their most recent playlist................ If you like old big band/swing music, give this a listen. This stuff is just delicious. A guy at work was playing this and I had to go over and check it out. Most of these are fairly new acts. I really did not know that there were this many bands reviving the swing era. Bands, solo vocalists, and vocal groups. There is a lot of talent here. And I am liking this a LOT. From youtube..................a 60 song playlist. Best Modern Swing Bands. Kitty auditioned, kitty approved. Meow! "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
