Mmmmm... no. I've never tried making bread, but I do make biscuits a lot.

Can or by scratch?
Beer bread is almost like baking a cake. Just beer, sugar, and self rising flour.

I make biscuits from scratch recipes in my mother's cookbook. She loved making cakes from scratch too, but I haven't gotten that ambitious. I'll have to look in her stuff for bread recipes, but I don't remember her ever doing bread.

Beer bread?

Why use sugar?
Ingredients:
1 pint of beer
50 g of yeast
1 tablespoon salt
2 teaspoon mixed bread spices
3 to 4 pints of sifted rye flour
Start with 3 pints of sifted rye flour, knead it and add some more flour until the dough is not smudgy.

This is easier.
1 12oz beer. Your choice, but it can't be a lite one. Let it warm up to room temperature.
3 cups of self rising flour.
3 tablespoons sugar.

Mix the flour and sugar together. Then add the warm beer. Mix well.
Bake in a 375°f oven for 45 minutes then check if it is done.

That's good, but this one might be better for some, buy Bread and Beer, use bread, drink beer.

The French star chef Paul Bocuse has died in Parkinson's disease. He became 91 years old.

"Mr. Paul was France. The king of gastronomy has left us ", writes the country's interior minister Gerard Collomb on Twitter.

I tried Taco Bell's new "Nacho Fries" the other day, and they were ok as french fries, fairly crispy, with a nice texture, but they didn't have any significant Mexican flavor to them. Can't really complain for a $1.

Not. Tastes like Arby's seasoned curly fries.

Burger King's fries are my favorites.

I have disliked (slightly stronger feeling than merely not liked) BK's fries since they switched their oil, however many years ago that was.

My favorites are Portillo's and White Castle. Of the big three chains, McD's are the best, but I rarely eat them.

I remember Burger King changed their fry formula back in the mid-90's, and I didn't like the new one, but they must have changed again along the way, because in recent years I've really liked them. McDonald's, on the other hand, is actually my least favorite, nowadays.
