It's definitely spaghetti on the 31st, it's what I have, it's that or no dinner. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

So many carbs, zoom. If you'll cut the carbs and stick with meat and veggiesCarbs are cheap, and I get the feeling that is Vic's issue. It is also a public health issue in the USA. Far too many people can only afford carb loaded options and fast food joints. Restaurant owners see veterinarian dishes as trendy and charge double for them, even though they cost less to make. I also get a lot of people don't like to take the prep time veggies require. Tossing out, stir-fry might be an option. Put in twice the veggies and half the meat. It will still fill you up but you won't be eating a ton of carbs or calories. Stir-fry is a good way to get rid of leftover meat portions that are too small to have as a meal by themselves. If you want to go Chinese, toss in the low sodium soy sauce and a dash of sesame oil. ob dinner - but dump the fries and get steamed veggies or a salad, which is available now, limited time? |

I said NO, the issue here is I can't go out and buy any FOOD until the 1st, what do you expect Me to do with $1.51 and only 1/8 of a tank of gasoline in My car??? I live in a desert, where if I run out of gas for My car, I would get no help... So do you expect Me to eat food that I do not have, or that I can not buy??????????????????\ HUH?????? If I had the money I might get something else, but until the 1st I have no other choice, so don't tell Me what I already know, and don't tell Me something that I don't know... Otherwise put your money where your mouths are... Since I'm broke. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Vic, please remember that public posts are an invitation to public responses and even, sometimes, public critique. |

Vic. I know some of what you are going through. I get the same static about my eating habits here at home. A doctor looked at my legs and prescribed chlorthalidone 25mg once a day. Haven't seen any change in my bathroom trips yet so he is going to have to up the dosage. God help when it kicks in. Then he wants me to slow down on stuffing my mouth. I might be loosing water because of the heat at work. Don't have to do much to sweat your butt off. Went to the hospital emergency room to use the scales. Regular bathroom scales don't go high enough. The two numbers I have look promising. Need a few more to see if I am going in the right direction. So far the second number is six pounds less in a week. Yay. Better stop blowing hot air at ya. |

Mine goes to 500lbs, the Doctors office goes to at least 500lbs. Right now I'm heating 2 breakfast sausages and a cheesy omelet(powdered eggs and some shredded cheese), it's what I have here, by all rights I should get Double or Triple My base check of $735 a month, but I don't, yet some say that's too generous, the $735.... And want to cut My check... As Punishment for being unable to work for a living, to poke Me like a cattle prod... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I think it was just general advice, not what you should eat this specific day. And it is just one day. The 1st is tomorrow. You sound like it's a week away. And now, having not had lunch, I think I'm about to go make too much carb for an early dinner myself. What's more disturbing, though, is that I haven't had to pee in over five hours. What's more disturbing, though, is that I haven't had to pee in over five hours. Well, since you quoted it, uric acid kidney stone growing or something much worse. It isn't a joking matter https://www.dir.ca.gov/dosh/dosh_publications/ESPHIP.pdf I'm sure Illinois has similar regulations. Don't know if they apply to volunteers, but they should comply anyway. |

Then you are going to love what I have on hand, to cook up soon, hamburger helper and pink salmon Yeah I have two 14.75oz cans of pink salmon(deep sea), and 2lbs of hamburger(1lb ea), so I bought some boxes of helper, of course there are no Microwave Directions on the boxes, but that is what a search engine is for, to get more info. 2-Tuna Cheesy Pasta carbs 7-9% 1-Cheesy Enchilada carbs10-11% 1-Cruncy Taco carbs 10-11% All can be used with chicken according to the label, two of them will be used with the salmon, though the box says 2-5oz cans of Tuna. Right now I can't do the For Tuna Helper: http://www.tsbvi.edu/independent-living-skills/39-betty-crockerr-recipes/546-tuna-helper-creamy-pasta-betty-crocker Microwave directions: For Hamburger Helper: http://solarfox.triluminary.net/eph_hhelper.php Though I would rather have My 3qt pan covered, to avoid splatter. Dinner tonight 1. Started sauteing some thinnly sliced leeks with some salt & thyme, in a bit of butter 2. Added some fresh mushrooms, sliced, and cooked them down 3. Added a tiny hit of garlic - cooked ever so briefly 4. Deglazed the pan with some sherry 5. Made a sauce by adding some heavy cream 6. Tossed it all with some hot fettuccine, cooked al dente 7. Topped it with some Parmigiano Reggiano cheese 8. Enjoyed it with a glass of wine Gosh., I wonder why I never lose any weight.... |

Parmigiano Reggiano That's the real deal. I have a metal rotary grater just for that cheese. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Parmigiano Reggiano Indeed it is. Grana Padano is a similarly aged cheese also used grated in food. Then of course we have the aged cheese "Västerbottenost":) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A4sterbotten_cheese The village of Burträsk (now part of the Skellefteå municipality) claims Västerbotten cheese was invented there in the 1870s, supposedly by a dairy maid, Eleonora Lindström. According to legend, she was left alone to stir the curd of a traditional cheese but was interrupted, either by other chores or an assignation with her lover. This resulted in alternating periods of heating and stirring of the curdling milk. |

For Vic (and anyone else who is interested), I recommend InboxDollars. Mostly they're a "read emails and get paid" operation that really doesn't pay much. But on their website they have coupons. When you use the coupons you not only get the amount off of the product, you also get a 10 cent credit from Inbox Dollars. Sure, if you want to make money it's very slow, but you're getting the coupons plus 10 cents. After you sign up, go to the website and click on Deals, then on Coupons. I actually use a secondary email address for this so their emails don't stuff up my primary email box. They have other ways to make money, too, like doing surveys. I've found that I'm "not eligible" to take most of them, probably because I'm not in their target age range, but "you" might be. There's also something about earning money by watching videos. Over the years I've been paid maybe $160 by them. I know it's not much, but it's $160 more than I would have had. Don't sign up yet. Let me find a code so I can collect a referral fee. ;-) Here it is: https://www.inboxdollars.com/?r=ref6123520&s=7 ~Sue~ |
