There are no Berliners in Berliners. (Berliners are a kind of donut.)

I know:)
It was John F Kennedy who said "Ich bin ein Berliner" in 1963 in a speech in West Berlin.
I was just kidding about language difficulties.
Reading US recipes for European food can be very fun for us.
For instance.
Danish. That's a pastry from Vienna Austria, not from Denmark.

You don't have to explain yourself, janne. :-)

A recipe from Finland.
Kalakukko.
It's like Cornish Pasty but with fish instead.

The bits of Chili give it a nice bright flavor with the dash of sesame oil.

I'd rather not eat any tuna, nor have Grace eat tuna, due to over fishing, since tuna is endangered, yes I know tuna is more than 1 species.

I heated up some frozen mozzarella sticks in my toaster oven, and the darn things oozed all their cheese out, and I was left with empty shells! :~(

Sorry to hear, Gordon... If that's NOT a Charlie Brown moment then I don't know what is... I wouldn't go out on Halloween, you might get rocks instead of candy... :-(

That's why I put a cookie sheet under a pizza when I bake it, then I bake one for 28 minutes.

I cook with gas, though with solar, electric makes more sense, especially the embedded flat top type, like below.

I thought I'd share this recipe, this recipe uses, gasp! Dried Powdered Eggs, you've been warned...

TPI Baked Denver Omelet

(Serves 4)

Ingredients:

2 T Butter

1 Medium Onion (chopped)<1/2 cup or half a large onion>

½ Red Bell Pepper (chopped)

½ Green Bell Pepper (chopped)

1 C Chopped Cooked Ham

1 C TPI Whole Dried Eggs powder*

2 C Water*

¼ C Half ‘n Half

1 C Grated Cheddar Cheese

¼ C Grated Parmesan Cheese

¼ t Ground Pepper

½ t Salt

* Equivalent to 8 whole eggs

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Grease round baking dish.

Melt butter in pan over medium to low heat.

Add onion and bell peppers, cook until soft.

Add ham and cook 2 minutes more.

In a separate bowl, reconstitute 1 C Twin Peaks Ingredients’ Whole Dried Eggs with 2 C water.

Beat reconstituted eggs with ¼ C half n’ half in bowl.

Stir in cheeses and add veggies and ham.

Season with salt and pepper.

Transfer to prepared dish.

Bake 20 minutes or until top is puffy and brown.

Cut into pie-size wedges and serve warm.

Enjoy!
