A few of my neighbors have hens, as well. I wouldn't be able to leave the
hens alone in the back yard in some small enclosure. It's just not how I
am with animals.

Plus, your raccoons would do everything in their power to eat your chickens. You would have to put the chickens in a "raccoon proof" enclosure every night.

I seem to be in luck. My local grocery store stocks "Fruit Cake" fruits. I can get them fancy and chopped up together or each whole and separate.

Lucky you! They are more seasonal in our area. I did find one small independent grocery store that still had candied fruits, but I'm pretty sure they were the fruits that didn't sell last holiday season. Not that shelf life matters that much with candied fruits though...

Like Ellie Mae, we do have quite a number of "critter lovers" 'round these parts.

Indeed. This is why my neighbor trapped most of the neighborhood raccoons
and let Animal Control take them to a safe place and release them. This is
what happened to my favorite raccoon - the one that was becoming very
comfortable with me around and that can be seen in my YouTube video(s).

I miss that fuzzy creature.

There are two or three rabbits that are out in the yard eating the greenery. They have a personal space of about 10 feet now. They are still watching you ready to run. Not sure how much more their personal space will shrink. But they are not bolting the moment they see you.

White Russian Ice Cream

INGREDIENTS

YIELD 1 quart UNITS US
1cup whole milk
1⁄2cup sugar
1pinch salt
5 large egg yolks, beaten
2cups heavy cream, chilled
2tablespoons coffee liqueur, chilled
2tablespoons vodka, chilled

DIRECTIONS
In a small saucepan, cook the milk, sugar and salt over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves, about 4 minutes (do not let the milk boil).
Slowly pour one-half of the hot milk mixture into the eggs, whisking. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring and scraping with a heatproof spatula, until thick enough to coat the spatula, 8 to 10 minutes.
Strain the mixture into a metal bowl. Stir in the heavy cream. Refrigerate until cool, about 2 hours.
Stir the coffee liqueur and vodka into the ice cream base.
Pour into an ice cream maker and process according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Find a recipe for pasta all’amatriciana.
It only contains 6 ingredients guanciale, pecorino cheese, chili, pepper, white wine and tomatoes.

NO onions

Enjoy and donate $/£/Euro 1 to the Red Cross in support of the relief in Amatrice Italy and the surrounding area.

Aren't Chickens still regarded as 'farm animals'?

Me I buy 2.25 lbs of powdered eggs, today I got some powdered milk, I have a macaroni(and cheese) recipe and a noodle recipe(stroganoff), which meant I got to spend 1.5 hours shopping with an acquaintance, She needed a ride, and I needed a few things, so We went shopping together. Yes they are from scratch, not some packed stuff, the macaroni should go well with some cans of Salmon that I have.

If you don't can find guanciale at your store (most likely), pancetta could be used instead.

For the macaroni and cheese dinner.

Hmm.
Macaroni and cheese “I’m pretty sure the Americans invented this a long time ago,” says Cesarato. In Italy, however, there are strict rules about which sauces you serve with specific pastas - depending on their texture and shape. Macaroni ('Maccheroni' in Italian), for instance, is typically served with ragù or a tomato sauce. The closest Italian dish to macaroni and cheese that Cesarato can think of is “pasta pasticciata”, where you mix left-over pasta with béchamel and bake it in the oven. “But it’s not the same, and we’d never go out of our way to cook that.”

Well, my grandma did something like that with spaghetti instead...

Spaghetti is easy, there I just need: Meat, Sauce, Spaghetti, and Cheese, I had to buy lots of small ingredients for the macaroni, since this is not the packaged type.

You have not met my brother:)
The only dish when he was young was:
Spaghetti and ketchup.
Later it was:
Macaroni, ready made meatballs and ketchup.
That's easy!

Ok at great effort on My part and on Grace's, I made the Macaroni and Cheese w/Salmon from scratch, I used 15oz of salmon, everything else is in the 1st pic, the rectangles are croutons embedded w/cheese and garlic, I couldn't find any plain croutons, I used a 5oz bag. I also didn't use sharp cheddar, I could only fine regular, so instead of 2 cups, I used 4 cups.

Macaroni and cheese w/salmon, yes there is lots more in the pan.
