Lady luck smiled upon the humans that day, as it is the females who do the hunting. |

:)))) @all of you :) I was putting off the hard part - judging - till this morning, but it will now have to be later today, for which I apologise. Of course that does mean you now have a few more hours to make judging this even harder for me if you wish... I will be noting down the names of those that do... :) oh...and did we say we like humans too? Well we do :) |

[lion] So I'm a "ho-hum, we've seen that before" species, eh? Remember that I out-weigh you, and can run faster than you - if there is a next time! [/lion] . Hello, from Albany, CA!... |

Just passing through so not for the win :-) Lion: Geez that walk to the dinner table was tiring. The girls will need to serve me at least two tonight. We have nothing to fear but fear itself. Apart from pain. And maybe humiliation. And obviously death. And failure. But apart from fear, pain and humiliation, failure and the unknown and death - we have nothing to fear. Who’s with me? |

*spread deranged air about the place* Got waylaid by a hair-tearing origami design, people. It just would not do what the book said it would. Why? Because they left out a very important piece of fold information which, in its absence, should have been replaced with the instruction: "and now throw the book away and improvise or... better still - give up origami altogether" and THEN - just as I was about to post this... I got a problem loading page page and thought I'd lost it... except I hadn't. I was on a differentSNORRRRRRRRRRRRRRTwindow to this one. I know! I'm so happy I was so stupid it's stupid!! :) And now you all get to read my incredibly long post that nearly wasn't, you lucky lucky people :) Anyway *BEAM* Fantastic entries everyone! Thank you for the giggles and the heh heh's :))) Much appreciated. Special thanks to Wiggo, Smoke me a kipper and clettoth - oh... let me try that again. Special thanks and the NFTWBICRPTYY not for the win but I couldn't resist passing through yada yada Award go to Wiggo, Smoke me a kipper and celttooth for making my job a little easier :) As for the rest of you... *droop eyelids at half mast* ... you all lost that one. In the hope it would help me reach a decision, I divided the entries into categories: Category one: Those referencing the intellectually challenged Category two: Something for posterity (or paparazzi corner) Category three: Strategies Category four: Impending consequences After having done that, one in particular stood out as a shining example of positivity. Yes *look frankly at setizens* it did almost immediately get rendered to the status of wishful thinking didn't it... *glance at Gary* but nevertheless :))) my special mention for Positivity still goes to Angela :) for her cheering: "no one died surprised today" message ... or at the very least, her "no creatures were harmed, or even breakfasted upon, during the filming of Humans in the Wild" And another easy win, this time of my: Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Award has to go to Rob :) because of how far my bottom lip stuck out whilst I was laughing... *address all setizens directly* yes - you're right - it wasn't a pretty sight :) Then I looked at everything else that was left, and realised I'd made judging eight times harder for myself, at least. So I chucked everyones lovely names in the air and the one that landed on my head and stayed there, I declared our winner. The same method was then used to find the runners up. After that, it was just a matter of picking one (if there was more than one) caption to clap :) So ... for those still awake after my long monologue :) In fourth place is Monday :))) (with a category one entry) In third is Graham Middleton :))) (a category three entry) Second goes to Lynn :))) (a category four entry) and our winner is The Holy Hand Grenade with - "Wrong Way" Corrigan does it again..." :))) (which I ended up putting in category four after lengthy consideration between that and category one) They really were brilliant entries everyone! And in closing - I would like to nominate ProticalMan as ruler of the Earth - for his keen eye for politics :))) and in another closing - I would like to thank everyone for playing :) oh...and did we say we like humans too? Well we do :) |

Thanx for the win... For those who don't know, "Wrong Way" Corrigan was an early aviator who flew the Atlantic, even though his plane had only barely been granted permission to fly back to Los Angeles, from New York. He claimed that his compass was faulty, hence "Wrong way"... That said, caption THIS: pro-optic 500mm ƒ 6.3 on Pen FT by Paul Sullivan, on Flickr as always, Photo Copyright © 2015, Paul Sullivan, all rights reserved . Hello, from Albany, CA!... |
