The time has come for all doggy thoughts to be revealed....

Some very good ones, but three stand out above the rest.

In third place
Cettooth with "Squirrel!"

In second place (despite his protestations to be third)
Chris with "Sigh ... But Dad, I don't LIKE Winalot!"

But the winner, by a short, cold, damp nose is Bill Walker with "Is that Bacon"
(Which is exactly what the Kasper had woken up to a few (nano)seconds before the picture was taken)
PM on its way to you Bill

Well done on the promotion, Chris...

Oh, THAT's why it's running rough: some idiot pulled a spark plug wire on the right cylinder!
Now how do I re-start this puppy in the air?

If it needs to move "WD-40". If it does not, "Duck-tape".

or

Now I know where these extra bolts came from.

Well, that is ten, and some good ones. I liked the ones that captured the true nature of the hard pressed mechanic:

Third place to Russell, "Why's it always me that has to clean the bird crap off..."

Second place to Carlos, "Do I have time to change the oil too."

And first place to JaundicedEye who captured the ongoing mechanic's struggle with reality, "Was that clockwise or anti-clockwise?"

In case you are wondering, the guy in the photo is really changing spark plugs in flight. There was a craze back in the 1930s and into the 1950s of setting world endurance records in light aircraft like these. Fuel and food was passed up to the aircraft several times a day from a truck driving at high speed across the California desert, and regular maintenance was performed by climbing to a high altitude, shutting down the engine, and then having one crew member climb out and work really really fast. From memory, these guys eventually set records of over 50 days in the air. By the way, the used plugs were just pitched out. This was before liability lawyers.
