Self-Driving car Bus-Ted... Read that Google accepted "some responsibility" for that fender-bender. "to err is human.... to really foul things up requires a computer." |

Self-Driving car Bus-Ted... Car 2mph Bus 15mph The car tried to dodged sandbags at 2mph, I'd have used the brakes, big vehicles have big blind spots. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

We have come a long way from the DARP challenges They're still no replacement for trains, they'd still make untrustworthy gridlock. Humans have much better eyesight, that's a self driving cars weakness, they're almost blind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_vision The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

We have come a long way from the DARP challenges https://www.quantamagazine.org/20140618-the-game-theory-of-life/ including object recognition, as shown here. Left: How Humans see, Right: How a Computer sees(in pink). The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Have you aggravated a telemarketer today? Some people just have no manners, so they go rude and crude... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Have you aggravated a telemarketer today? My number is on the "do not call list", so I don't have that problem. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Have you aggravated a telemarketer today? So is mine, but with auto-dialers and random-number callers, some still get through. That's the whole point of these services - to mess with the ones that get through. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

Have you aggravated a telemarketer today? Yeah, I just hang up, put them on the scammer ring tone that I made and let the phone handle it. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

On my way to see about watching a movie. Looked over at Interstate 35 roadway and noticed the south bound traffic had stopped. I wondered what was backing it up. I got my answer about 30 seconds later. A state trooper speeding along followed closely by the rest of the emergence response. I saw the special tools truck headed out with them. It is a shorter version of fire truck with just roll up sides for equipment. |

I did a very quick trip into town this morning, 80km/50 country highway miles @ 99% 100km/h/60mph, but not for any food. ;-) Put the car away (for another 2 weeks) then went down the pub for a few beers. :-D Cheers. |

Observation: The first six digits of Pi are 3.14159. If you round up one place you get 3.1416. That is Monday! 3/14/16. So we must all celebrated rounded pi day. Pies are round so it seem appropriate. Happy Rounded Pi Day! |
