Those aluminum bleachers were mighty cold for a night game, but Eric and I dutifully warmed them. Tomorrow is Big Game Day (Cal vs Stanford), which is practically a national holiday for my family. Eric and I will make the pilgrimage down to that Leland Stanford Junior College to enjoy a mighty Golden Bear victory. Go Bears!!! ID: 1743716 ·

On the plus side, the Cal band has improved tremendously since the first game of their season. The Stanford band tried to do one of those little band skit-stories that are so popular these days. They are 9 and 1 and the SEC East champs. If somehow they beat Alabama in the SEC championship game they will most likely play for the National Championship. If they play like they did against Georgia they could win. If they play like they did against Vanderbilt and Florida Atlantic they will lose miserably. I think this practice should made a big issue on the nightly news. To me, it's the same as taxation without representation. If a college football program can't make it on the gate and the TV revenue then there is something big wrong with whoever is controlling the spending.
