A new American movie release today, "My All American", is the story of a young man I had the brief pleasure of knowing in high school. I was a 'bench' lineman for the Wheat Ridge Farmers football team in 1964-65 and Freddie Steinmark was a small Sophomore running back with the biggest heart I've ever known.

His story, without spoiling the movie, is a life embracing inspiration to all who knew him or hear the tale. If you've got the time, I highly recommend you see it.

Thanks, watched the trailer, it reminded me of the film "Something for Joey". Will go to see it as soon as it opens here.

I just got back from picking a friend up in Barstow, I had to go there twice, I was told Barstow Station and Amtrak, so I thought train, duh, wrong, turns out He was at the Barstow Bus Station/McDonalds on Main St, for 3 hours, the person that was supposed to pick Him up there bailed on Him, He'll be lucky if He doesn't catch a cold, the temp in Barstow is either in the low 40F's or the high 40F's, either way it's cold there and windy, same as here, but He and I are home, I had to enter My home thru My back door, the lower door lock on the front door is now officially broke, the deadbolt above only locks and won't unlock from the outside and I do need a bigger jacket, the 5XL barely fits now and that is without the liner, 6XL, $104.94 w/shipping, the locks? About $75 before a locksmith, maybe... Yeah I'm ok.

We are still seeing thousands of birds
coming down the flyway. This is the latest
ever that I have seen this. On Thursday
LSM and I watched several hundred waiting
around by a frozen pond and grazing on the
edge of a harvested wheat field. This time of
year it can go to thirty below very quickly.

I had to replace a deadbolt on the back door of this doublewide trailer. It was a bit of a hassle getting it lined up. But it now does the it's intended job. Wal-Mart just had the proper trailer lock.

I'm watching a pair on Amazon, should do the job, with the lower door lock that is there now, the key just spins around, if I'm lucky, maybe in December, since property taxes then are a priority and they come first.

I fed Buddy a piece of stale pita bread last night. He thought it was the best thing since sliced bread!!! I tried to explain to him that pita bread was around well before sliced bread was, but Buddy was too busy eating to really take that information in...

Today I saw geese flying back south again like this.
And they sounded almost like Donald Duck:)

I didn't see one.
But perhaps we will see this sometimes.

Nils Holgersson was on our bank notes.

"The book is about a young lad, Nils Holgersson, whose 'chief delight
was to eat and sleep, and after that he liked best to make mischief.'"

I was out walking the dog and this followed me home.

I know that the two raised together. The goat followed the lab pup. It took forever for the pup to lose interest with me and my yard. It started running back the way it came and the goat ran after it. I hope the two went home safely.

This was posted on Facebook with the following caption:

My Raccoons make a delicious cornbread stuffing. They substitute
stuff, but that's OK.
