If the word you're worried about is the one between this and off, all I can tell you is that I work in a high school and not only can students say that word to teachers, the teachers can also say it to the students.

The web site just came off the white list and we have no desire for it to return to it. The site needs to be truly child safe so I feel like the language police. I am aware that children know most of that language already but when you consider their adult christen parents might visit the site as well, we need to keep it as clean as possible. It's just better not to let it get dirty in the first place because digging out old threads and cleaning them up is a real task. In some cases it might just be better to delete the thread.

It's very easy to do that task with a computer.
Write a script that "cleans" postings before they are sent to SETI.
Pseudocode.
search and replace bad_word in post.

I am pretty sure the average kid knows much nastier words than I do. And a lot more of them.

Thats true.
Yesterday I heard a muslim boy aged 6 say a very bad and obscene word in english...
I would have been better if he was swearing in swedish because we didn't have obscene swearwords until the 90's when american TV started to dominate the market here...

We have many Finns here. They have very obscene swear words that some uses.
All our obscene swear words are imported and from the US it started from the 90's.
