So these designs are still appearing? I hadn't heard anything in awhile. I find it fascinating that people still indulge in making them, and the cereologists still believe they are something non-human made. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

It is only really worth making them where they will be noticed, and where someone will make some money from them. I knew of one farmer who had lost a crop to "black ear" made a fair bit of money thanks to a group who planted a crop circle in the middle of the field - he charged the geeks to go into the field and "experience the aura" there in, not to mention the journalists that he gave interviews to. It was also great fun listening to the geeks expounding what had happened...... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Oh, come on now. We all know they are made by feral cats just signalling for food. Meow. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Believers point to many apparently authentic reports where watchers spent all night next to fields, heard and saw nothing, yet come the next day the circles were there. There are apparently other reports that say that there are heightened levels of radioactivity within circles. All I can say is that who ever makes them is very clever, they are intricate, no mistakes seem to be made, and all done in the dark. And of course you can only really judge them from the air. It's cats, I tell ya. Cats. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Even National Geographic Magazine went looking for the source of these "mysterious things" over 5 year ago to produce a 45 minutes "documentary". |

It certainly isn't ET doodling with lasers from space!! No, cats don't doodle with lasers....they chase them. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

And of course you can only really judge them from the air. Or if the field is on a slope opposite one's view point ;-) As for "hard to do in the dark" - not as bad as one might imagine, just a bit of simple geometry, and a few bits of string.... And of course you can only really judge them from the air. ...a lot of good things happen in the dark, especially with the right tools... |

I think Mark is right. Cat's chasing lasers. Cats are getting wise to this ruse. I have it on some authority that cats are now carrying their own lasers. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
