Message 1706111 - Posted: 28 Jul 2015, 23:25:21 UTC - in response to Message 1706108.

Front page just posted a message that the project would remain down til tomorrow for testing.

Well I can live with that as my caches have almost 10 days worth of APs.

Well, that gives me time to play through Episode Two and Three of Life Is Strange. I noticed Episode Four was released and downloaded today.

Its not the cold that gets me it is the fan noise that stopped which is usually a sign that a machine went kaputt

The positive in the server down notice was the portion that mentioned upgrade of software, forward movement, not repair. Good news.

Repairs frequently follow upgrades.
Then more repairs. Then more repairs to repair the previous repair.
Then the roll back. Then the roll back to the point before the previous roll back.
Then the application of v2 of the upgrade.

And that's if things go well.

An outage was inevitable.
My RAC just hit it's highest level since Credit New came in (barely topping it's recent post-CN high only a week or 2 ago).

yeah, I've seen the odd bit of patching in the seti@home bits connected to that. Well could be closer to crisis over, fingers crossed. weird unexpected behaviour is the name of the game shifting base types...

And we're running again. Validators have a bit of catching up to do...

WU 1855654681

(I think they re-wound the dodgy ones from last night)

Edit - and while I was typing, it validated: it was a double-pending when I started. Looks clean and canonical now.

I was about to ask that myself. All I am getting is "no work sent" without a qualifier across 9 boxes.

I was FINALLY able to Report completed work; but, no, I have NOT received any new work. I put both computers back on Suspend until I hear from someone that new work is being issued. :-/

OK....
Nothing coming in here either.
I have to run off to work and cannot stick around to babysit.
I would not be surprised if there was still some more sorting to be done with the servers or Boinc code.

Still not out of the woods (the scheduler still has some issue so no work is being sent) but FYI the code was completely tested in beta, but that validator bug got missed because it worked in beta - due to the ids being less than 2**31 unlike in the public project where the ids were between 2**32 and 2**31, thus causing some confusion between signed/unsigned. Whoops.
