I love European beers, but Budweiser is inexpensive, and my system is used to it. My favorite beers are the Trappist Ales. I have been drinking Budweiser for decades. Some of the American craft beers are very good. Every now and then I stumble on a good one.

Steve

I agree Steve, it took me a while but I did stumble onto some real good ones.
But the good ones don't come cheap.

Tapper ale I have never tried.
Cheers everybody

Saturday Beer O'clock is only 75mins away now and a few home made lagers are warranted after all the mass produced stuff that I drank yesterday. ;-)

Cheers.

Oh yes all those Friday night parties. LOL
Had a guy that just got back from Cuba vacation, well he brought me some Rum (200ml) and a Cuban cigar
The Rum comes in a box, I guess for flying reasons and no glass.
The Cigar I'll have to vacuum seal since I don't smoke. So I'll save it for my dying day and then it won't matter. LOL
Cheers everybody

Time to wander around to the post office and pay another bill and then I'll drop into the top pub on the way back for LLB. ;-)

Cheers.

There's certainly no drought Grant and that cyclone up north is expected to drop more of that wet stuff on us here to push our rainfall for this month over a foot (it's enough to drive a person to drink). :-(

But we at least finally had a nice warm (27C) sunny day today for a change.

Cheers.

I doubt that you could get anything to burn out in the countryside here Grant, even using plenty of fire accelerant and a F-111C with afterburner to light it.

It's just 1 of those days that makes a person want Beer O'clock to arrive quicker (as the rain buckets down).

Cheers.

Yup Wiggo I guess that's pretty darn wet. LOL Like trying to strike a match on a wet bar of soap. LOL

Back home I lived on some pretty flat land and in the spring it was nothing but a swamp for months. Good ice skating in the winter though. LOL

In fact Grant, March turned out to be the wettest month I've lived through up here as 330mm (13") was dumped on us (the previous best month here was 197mm (7.75") leading up to the Toowoomba floods in 2011).

We've also had 560mm (22") up here and that's well over half a year's average annual rainfall in just a quarter of a year (the water is just oozing out of the ground at the moment), but at least what falls here heads into the Darling system and not down to the coast where they rally copped it.

Yep it's getting cool enough here now Mike to start thinking about getting the brewroom back into action again.

BTW, Saturday Beer O'clock is less than 3hrs away now.

Cheers.

I don`t mind the temps Wiggo.
I simply use other yeast on hot temps.
I should just get my butt moving again.

It's just far too warm for me here during the warmer months Mike and I can make good use of the heat during the cooler months. ;-)

Cheers.

ATM Mike I'm into a batch that I bottled back in early August and over the last 2 days I've converted 2 others over to homebrewed lager.

Still 2hrs to go here yet before I taste test a couple more of them, but enjoy yours Mike while I go and make another coffee for myself. ;-)

Cheers.
