Well I finally dealt with the 15kgs of sugar that's been sitting in the brewroom for the last 2wks and its now well on the way to being converted into alcohol.

Anyhow it's time for Beer O'clock now and I hope that you all enjoy your favourite beverages.

Cheers.

I've extended your conversion processes and come up with this unfortunate result Wiggo.

Sugar -> alcohol -> fat

I havn't noticed the yeast getting fat on the sugar diet yet, but it does fart a lot.

Cheers.

It's a public holiday here today and it's a day to spend in my brewroom finishing off another brew as it's about to rain for the rest of the day.

Cheers.

Well it looks like I'll be in for another busy week, again, but I will have to make time to bottle another beer brew in the next few days.

Anyhow, hopefully Beer O'clock will be here in another 3hrs.

Cheers.

Wisdom and Beer

"Sometimes when I reflect on all the beer I drink, I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. I think, "It is better to drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."
Babe Ruth

H. L. Mencken

"When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep.
When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven.
So, let's all get drunk and go to heaven!"
George Bernard Shaw

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."
Benjamin Franklin

Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza."

One night at Cheers (TV Sitcom), Cliff Clavin said to his buddy, Norm Peterson: "Well, ya see, Norm, it's like this...A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first.

This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members! In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells.

Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine!

That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

I like that last one. Just hope those slow cells didn't do anything extra important.

It doesn't look like much has been going on here of late, but ATM I'm just waiting for my equipment to finish sterilising before putting down another Sunday beer brew.

Cheers.

Don't mind me... I should be embossing my face with a hand or something and not knowing about it till I wake up thinking I've been corrugated, but I'm not.

That plan you've outlined sounds good though! I'd do that if I were you... ;)

There's a very large tegenaria gigantica in here with me at the moment. 'Scuse me a second *measure width of an anniet foot* hmm... with a leg span of almost ten cm's. I see now why it startled me somewhat. I'm not sure where it sped off to but I'm hoping I don't step on it when I try do that sleep thing again. I suppose it could be climbing the swivelly pole thing I'm seated on.
