Happy Birthday to your Daughter, Wiggo. :) Thanks Lynn & Mike, I'll let her know (even if she thinks we're all a bunch of geeks). ;-) Even though the "official" party was last night (just don't ask me when that finished, but it was sometime before 5:30am), it has been going for 4 days/nights so far. :-O I'm just waiting for whoever still has it in them to turn back up again after an afternoon in town. Meanwhile I'm just waiting for #3 son and #1 daughter to get home before deciding on whether to for pizzas down at the bottom pub or not (it could even be a home delivery). ;-) In the meantime, my brother might be right and the new Coopers Lager wort being sold here (new red labeling & lid instead of green) is actually their newer "European" version, and I'm starting to think that he's right as my last 2 brews have now suffered from unexplained over foaming at fermentation start. I just hope that in 8-9mths time that the taste hasn't changed, or I'll be awfully upset. Oops, it seems that I'm off down the hill for dinner. Have fun. :-) Cheers. |

Well half of them turned up anyway Grant and after 4 days of partying with their friends, I was glad when they left. Since then I've been rolling back failed (or unwanted) Win10 upgrades (with a few more due next week) and playing around with and old PC and some GPU's. I've also have a brew that needs to be bottled in the next 2 or 3 days. Anyhow I might have a rum'n'lime now while I keep an eye on the 2 rigs that I've been playing around with today. ;-) Cheers. |

Are wine drinkers allowed in the beer drinkers thresd? Just so long as you don't expect me to have any. ;-) BTW, there's not much difference in the way both are made. :-) Well I think that I'll head off to bed after playing with 2 of my toys all day, g'nite. Cheers. |

G'morning beer drinkers, and connoisseurs of other beverages, from a beautiful morning in the highlands here. Rolling back Windows 10? is their something wrong with it? A lot of people around here are rolling back for many reasons Grant, the main 1 being small business people with attached hardware and particular software that becomes unusable under the new OS. A lot of old people also just don't want to learn how to use their PC's all over again and some upgrades just brick the PC altogether. I can't complain about the pocket money, but I am trying to get stuff done here before I head off on another trip. ;-) Since breathing life back into an old workstation of mine this is now the 2nd day in a row where I havn't had to use a bit of extra heating of a frosty morning. :-) Anyhow, I better get a few more things done as Beer O'clock is getting closer. Cheers. |

This place opened over the weekend, here in Louisville. It boasts quite a dizzying array of beer and spirits. http://www.wdrb.com/story/32578322/hopcat-greets-hundreds-on-opening-day-in-the-highlands I'm a 5 minute cab ride to the part of town where that is. Looks like it might be a going place Gordon if they keep the prices down to a low roar. :)) |

Looks like it might be a going place Gordon if they keep the prices down to a low roar. :)) That's the thing. I have a problem paying $5 for a beer. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Looks like it might be a going place Gordon if they keep the prices down to a low roar. :)) I know that sounds cheap on my part, and I understand craft beers cost more, and the bar itself has to make money, but well... I guess I better stay home with a six pack of Guinness. ;~) The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

$5 sounds about the right price for big brewery beer here, but my 50c beers are much better in a few ways Gordon. ;-) Did those beers go down ok Grant? I can have more if you like. :-D The laptop that turned up here today doesn't need rolling back yet, but it does need time to finish completing the upgrade 1st. :-) Cheers. |

Well after 6hrs of chores and work, and as it's almost Beer O'clock, I might go for a wander down the hill before the rain gets here. Also before they report as being M.I.A. :-) With a bit of luck, I'll be bottling beer tomorrow, as the rain continues (well it's expected to be still around), I just hope that it'll finally be ready. Cheers. |
