G'morning everyone, from another cold, damp and windy day in the highlands.

It will be Grant in about 90mins. ;-)

I hope that you enjoy your trip Mike. :-)

Cheers.

Well Grant, Beer O'clock arrived and was cancelled straight away. :-O

Rum O'clock was commenced instead. ;-)

But that soon bit the dust. :-(

So I've settled on Sipping Whiskey O'clock. :-D

Just to explain all that. It was 4C (felt like 0C) with drizzle and a stiff breeze when I got up at 5am this morning. At Beer O'clock it was 5C (felt like -1C) with continuing drizzle and a strong wind (thankfully no sleet).

Now it's 4C (feels like -3C) and a black ice/snow alert has just gone out and the drizzle has just stopped falling, but it's still misty out there and snow is being reported from up in the surrounding hills (well I still can't see them hills ATM).

[edit]But I have had several visitors so far as well today (they're mad to go out there). :-O

Cheers.

Well it's freezing here Mike as black ice has closed the highway here again for the 3rd time in 5 days.

Anyhow LLB will be here in 4.5hrs so I better do a bit more work before office hours begin.

Cheers.

*turn to face opposite direction to usual* Oh there you are, Mike! :) Having a nice time I trust? I do hope so :)

Beer o'clock until whenever sounds nice, Wiggo :)

I have to find something yellow today... to wear tomorrow. I'm not sure I have anything yellow though. I'm not even sure why I need to. It was announced at me when I got home after a beer o'clock held yesterday lunch time, and I may have been a little fuzzy at the time I agreed to it.

A quick look round the house has produced a bunch of bananas *waggle them at Grant* How are you? :) but they don't splay over my head comfortably, and some crepe paper which does.

Oh... crepe-paper flowers wired into my hair might work I suppose. I'm thinking hibiscus.

oh...and did we say we like humans too? Well we do :)

Since Monday is a holiday I will have a 6 pack or so of beer LOL and stay inside out of the hot sun. I'm not even going out for the fire works Monday night.

I usually manage to arrange enough fireworks INDOORS.
Enough said.

Several good old American Golden Ales along with a Cheeseburger in Paradise for me. Fireworks start early here, usually around 4:20........":D>

The only thing D.G. is the stupid ones that end up starting fires or don't give a darn. We had enough fires here last year but some of the were from lightning with no rain and enough acreage lost an even towns burned up last year.

TRUE STORY I was in the hospital last year where this guy and wife had a car accident and the town he live on was just about totally burned out, but his house and the ones on each side were saved. Talk about luck or what. at least he had to go home to.

I was on 'Fire Watch'(boy does that bring back memories) until midnight. Neighbor 2 doors down was firing star shells, bottle rockets, and God only knows what other ordinance from the middle of the street, while cars were driving down it.

We live 1/2 mile from one of the best fireworks shows in the State, very visible from our front yards but this clown must have spent a grand on what they shot off. One skyrocket went horizontal and missed me on my front porch by about 5 feet. The neighbor is now WELL AWARE I'm not too happy with him.

All personal fireworks are illegal in Colorado.

Well D.G.. back in 1977 and my kids were pretty young at the time and I was sitting out on the porch enjoying my nightly beer. up the street comes a car with some young punks with a lit Roman candle shooting at all the houses on the street. They seen me and tore out of there.

G'afternoon everyone.

Well after a very busy morning Beer O'clock was a little late, but a few mates dropped in at just the right time to help me catch up. :-)

Cheers.

Well I've been away again with C.W.#1 down to the warm climate for a week and got home to my kids (and their friends/other halves) turning up (invading?) for my youngest daughter's birthday party tomorrow that was arranged to be held here (plus whoever else is still to turn up for it and the pile of spare mattresses is rapidly going down).

But I did get another beer brew down that I'll get bottled before heading away again. ;-)

Cheers.
