Did I win??? I seem to have materialized in front of Blurf and Angela... I'm sure I've won. :-)

Angela plugs into the Borg network and summons a cube-ship. She beams onto the Tardis and uses her Borg implant to assimilate Tardis technology. Time Lord himself refuses to be assimilated and in the ultimate of ironies he is exterminated.

We win.

Well, again with the help of those in NC, I got Exeter, (GTX-760), upgraded to Driver 353.30 and on Lunatics 0.43b. Now Exeter is utilizing OpenCL 1.2 for future AP WUs that will come to it.

Unfortunately, (even though I got Lunatics 0.43b installed), I couldn't upgrade Prometheus, (GTX-750 TI SC), because of the damned Geforce 9400 built onto the Gigabyte Motherboard. ALL Drivers above, (and including), 347.88 failed installation. Even though I used Display Driver Uninstaller to remove 337.88 first, and then attempted each install going from 353.30 backwards back to 337.88. ONLY 337.88 works on Prometheus for the GTX-750 TI SC, because I CAN'T turn off the older 9400 on the Motherboard. Every install claimed to have finished installing, then asked to reboot to finish. Upon relogging into the system, instead of the new Driver taking effect, Windows started installing generic drivers for both the 9400 and the 750 TI SC. Then, BOINC complained that it couldn't crunch because of Missing GPU. GPU-Z then showed the 750 TI SC as a "Standard VGA Adapter". Once back on 337.88, (three hours of fighting), everything started working again. GPU-Z sees the 750 as a 750, and Windows stopped trying to install generic drivers, and BOINC saw the 750 again. Thankfully, I had Einstein and SETI Suspended through all of it; so, I lost no work in this fight.

I find it funny that Win XP Pro x64 on Exeter is now running just fine with Driver 353.30 for the GTX-760; but, I CAN'T get Prometheus to go above 337.88 on Win 7 Pro x64... :-/

Goodnight everyone. :-)

Back at the top, and WINNING!!!!! :-)

Winning after a looong afternoon/evening.

4:00 pm meeting lasted until 7:45, so went straight downtown to have a late dinner and listen to my friends sing at a local restaurant. Full tummy, cool shower, going to sleep well tonight.....

unless the mental image of Angela and Blurf doing wheelchair gymnastics keeps me awake all night....

So I come back after ~3 weeks of ignoring y'all and find some scarily interesting posts with Angela, Blurf, and Scott.

I also find that I'd better go read NC fairly soon.

Ping!

Ah yes, FRIEDDAY..

Indeed. Or perhaps Steamedday. Upper 80s and humid. Fortunately, this morning's models are lowering the predicted high for tomorrow by a few degrees with gradually falling humidity.

Ping!
