Hi - I was wondering if anyone had any advice here. When I run BOINC and seti@home, my laptop random freezes up. It's not constant but usually after a few hours to 12 or 24 hours, it will freeze and I'll need to reboot. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T520i, 16 GB RAM, SSD, Windows 7 x64, and the latest version of BOINC. I have it set to run on all 4 CPUs so when running it the CPU will be at 100% (across all four cores, 2 real and 2 virtual).

Any suggestions? Also let me know if any other info is needed. Thanks

I think a lot of us use TThrottle on our laptops. Keeps temps more or less sane. I've set max cpu temp at 85 degrees Celsius.

Thanks, I'll take a look into that. My CPU has a Tj Max of 85 C, I haven't seen it go above 81 or 82 C, but I'll check it out.
