The movie Hangman. In spite of Al Pacino, it was pretty bad. Al wasn't that great, either.

The Legend of the Daiku Maryu(eps1-39): Gaiking(2005)

I wish they'd make new episodes like they'd hinted at in episode #39.

A couple of days ago I watched two movies, both based on real-life stories.

The first was The Lost City of Z (Netflix DVD). "The Lost City of Z tells the incredible true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett, who journeys into the Amazon at the dawn of the 20th century and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific establishment who regard indigenous populations as "savages," the determined Fawcett, supported by his devoted wife, son and aide de camp, returns time and again to his beloved jungle in an attempt to prove his case, culminating in his mysterious disappearance in 1925."

The second movie was The Highwaymen. (Netflix streaming). "Two steely former Texas Rangers are tasked with tracking and killing infamous criminals Bonnie and Clyde in this crime drama based on real events."

As I said, these are both based on real-life stories and were, in my opinion, very good movies. I'm not a real verbal person, so I can't write a review. I can only say that they kept me interested and I was not disappointed by the stories or the endings.

As for The Highwaymen, this is a story about Bonny & Clyde, but it's not from their perspective, as are most, if not all, of the B&C movies. This movie is from the perspective of the two (retired) Texas Rangers who eventually caught up to and killed them. I don't know how much of the interaction between the those two men is true, but the movie makes it entertaining.

I highly recommend both movies.
