The original Lost in Space is one of my favorite shows from childhood. I'm not going to watch the reboot. Are you talking about the Chariot, Sue? The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

The new "Lost in Space" is surprisingly enjoyable, but as usual new versions never as good as the original.. |

I heard Parker Posey plays Dr. Smith. That's interesting. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I heard Parker Posey plays Dr. Smith. That's interesting. And Dr. Smith is turning out to be a real stinker (to put it very, very mildly). ~Sue~ |

Well, I watched Colony last night, and I have to say all the violence turns me off. I guess they think the action brings in new viewers for the new season, but it alienates me. That said, I was curious about why the robot thingy didn't vaporize Will. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

That said, I was curious about why the robot thingy didn't vaporize Will. I speculate that we're going to find out something about Will that makes him special. This isn't the first time he's escaped death where others surely would have been vaporized. That being said, I haven't watched the episode yet, and I'm assuming that Will is Josh Halloway's character. I honestly don't remember. LOL ~Sue~ |

((blush)) The rifle fight was the only violence, and it seems like there was at least that much violence in the first and second seasons. ~Sue~ |

The rifle fight was the only violence, and it seems like there was at least that much violence in the first and second seasons. True. I guess my threshold for that sort of thing is getting lower. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

You all are tempting me to get a Netflix free trial. Is that the only way you can see it? I'm very confused because when I Google "Lost in Space", it indicates upcoming episodes on channels I get, but when I go to look it up on the schedule, it's not there. Why does Google indicate this? Just watched The Swimmer. It's a 1968 film based on a John Cheever story and starring Burt Lancaster. I really liked it. The basic gist is a man decides to swim through all his neighbors' pools on his way home, and he encounters many metaphors about life along the way. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I am watching A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (film) the film depicts several months in the life of the Nolans, an Irish American family living in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn in 1912.[2] The film covers a much shorter timespan than the book, which ranges from before Francie is born until after she turns 16. The film focuses on the time when Francie is around 13 years old. Katie Nolan (Dorothy McGuire) is a hard-working housewife who scrubs the floors of her tenement building and collects rags for sale to a scrap fabric dealer in order to provide for her family. She's married to Johnny Nolan (James Dunn), a happy-go-lucky, charming man who means well but dreams his way through life rather than find steady employment. He is also an alcoholic. On the rare occasions he finds work as a singing waiter, everything he earns usually ends up in his drinking, much to the despair of his disillusioned wife. The couple have two children, 13-year-old Francie (Peggy Ann Garner), who idolizes her father, and 12-year-old Neeley (Cornelius) (Ted Donaldson). Tense and frustrated, Katie is often sharper with the children than she means to be, while Johnny is gentle, generous, and indulgent, especially with Francie. |
