I've quit buying DVDs. I've discovered there's nothing I like enough to pay for a DVD or to want to watch often enough to own a DVD. I used to buy all the "good" (imho) DVDs as soon as they came out. I'm smarter now. I also won't buy a DVD just because I missed something on TV or wherever (like the Vietnam series). I'll find it somewhere, eventually. It'll air again on PBS or it will show up on one of the streaming services.

I thought the DVR had taped the new Star Trek, but alas apparently 60 Minutes ran over time, and the show got missed. :~(

On Facebook I suggested that we wait until all episodes have been uploaded to CBS All Access and then take advantage of their seven-day free trial offer. Watch all the episodes and then cancel before the week is up.

CBS would be smart to re-air the pilot due to the time problem. I'm sure hundreds (at least) of people had the same problem and, so, didn't get to watch it.

Watched this week's Mr. Mercedes last night.
Shocker of an ending.

Where? How? Where I live there's another episode next Wednesday.

(No, I'm not asking for spoilers.)

Or do you mean the ending of that episode rather than the series?

I've quit buying DVDs. I've discovered there's nothing I like enough to pay for a DVD or to want to watch often enough to own a DVD. I used to buy all the "good" (imho) DVDs as soon as they came out. I'm smarter now. I also won't buy a DVD just because I missed something on TV or wherever (like the Vietnam series). I'll find it somewhere, eventually. It'll air again on PBS or it will show up on one of the streaming services.

Me too, since I got Netflix I have saved a pile of money (and space) not buying DVD's or Blu-rays. Now I only buy the occasoinal 3D Blue-ray if it's a really good movie.
I have a 55inch 3D TV and it's just like a cinema in my lounge room.

Got Netflix here too. I also check YouTube for titles to watch. Never know what people will upload.

+1

Yeah, I only buy DVD's that aren't likely to be on the air, more than once. Like Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse, it's anime, and a bit dark, or even dire... As the human species is threatened with extinction by an off world invader who eats humans, literally, did I say it was Dire?

The 1st episode is quite, graphic or gorey...

Just watched the film, "More". I've had the Pink Floyd soundtrack album for ages, but finally saw the movie. Not a real happy movie.

As many of you may know, the 1993 version of the movie Tombstone has long been a favorite of mine.
I watch it again at least once a year, and find it just as enjoyable every time.
Here are Ten things you probably didn't know about the 1993 movie Tombstone.

Also, The Making of Tombstone.
